Some things are just memorable... like the floating spike in Max 300, or the dancing silhouettes in the BM series (usually in the dancepop songs)....
A part of me kinda misses the background animations. The songs don't feel "completely there" with the generic IIDX backgrounds. But I really do think people would be weirded out by some of them.... or that they would make the old songs seem REALLY out of place.
I mean, IIDX has this polish, and the videos have these amazing production values now.... it's just completely out of place with the old stuff..
Kind of a weird point for me, I miss the backgrounds, but I really think that the old BM backgrounds would break the "feel" of IIDX... especially these last few mixes.

Not sure about 19, November (also in BMUS) since it looked like it already had genetic video stuff.

My point is, why is it that some songs in BMUS (like 321 Stars) got it's video while they got generic stuff in DistorteD & Gold? DistorteD wasn't even released 2 years after BMUS (1 year & 5 months). & let's face it. Any 5-key revival song (if any do get revived) in DJ Troopers isn't going to have it's original video.
I'm still surprised The Least 100 Seconds didn't have it's video. It's a GF/DM crossover, it already had a video! I don't see any reason as to why they couldn't have it in (unless, say, disk space).

2. super highway is on of my all time favorite songs to play. You know. Yeah.
So yea, I'm pretty glad they're grabbing some of those old songs, especially the old SLAKE songs.
Though sometimes the song progression is a little abrupt (DRUNK MONKEY, DENIM), but there were some real gems back then.

I like playing 5-key on IIDX, but the atmosphere just isn't going to be right. beatmania deserves a real finale (on the home consoles) with the original samples and graphics, but most importantly, at least 100-200 songs. Some of us would pay big money for this. Too bad it will never happen.
