Anyhow, I would never ever say that I am "good". Capable? Maybe but good? Nah far from it but I guess it depends really. In where I play, there are only like less than five people I know who have "capability in terms of skill" (while most of the others who play are noobs or casuals or first-timers who try the game out once then leave after).
In the whole country (where I'm from), I personally only know of less than ten people who are into this game. That's just from my view though.....
Well, I guess there's nothing we can do about it I guess (remember, this is one of the top three most difficult music games in existence to-date so yeah)

In any case, these are really one of these grey areas of many IIDX players. Heck, even I don't even know as to how I see myself in this game (and I even get confused as to what really is 'status' here in IIDX). It becomes difficult as our objectives and what we want to achieve as IIDX players really varies and thus one's standards may not be applicable to another..............or is it?
Bah, I guess that's enough talk from me for now about this heavy and deep discussion...

Wow, you guys are strict!!
I think that to the average gamer, anyone who can pass something like a level 3 song is going to apear rather impressive.
However, if you ask a Beatmania veteran what they consider good to be, of course the level is going to be higher.
If you want to check your level compared to others here, check out my old post of "average play level" to see how you fit in: What is the average level of IIDX players here?
This shows that the average level of players here is level 10, something higher than I expected. Although comparing your level to casual players and people who spend time on a IIDX forum is inevitably going to be slightly different.
Anyway, good job if you are passing up to 8 or 9 star songs, I think that is a pretty good achievement no matter what other level people are at!

YEAH, when I took be-pachi to school[a week before graduating from High School] since we where finally able to use the computers for anything other than school stuff!
here is what a lot of people said:
-"You play like a robot"
-"This looks harder than Through the Fire and Flames"
[I was playing PARANOiA ~HADES~ on NORMAL]
-"Fucking Low-Life"
and many many more comments....
I said that it's harder on the actual controller[which I showed them on google and taught them a bit more about the chronological order of Guitar Hero and BM[the general series]]

There pretty much is no such thing as a casual IIDX player, because the effort and investment to get in is so much (unless one is a pop'n player, perhaps. i'm an iidx player who plays popn casually)... so standards of good are WTF?!?! ...
I stand by Stoic L7, and KingKannibal, go get yourself a CS IIDX rig. Otherwise you might as well be playing BeatBeatRevolution.
