That's Dengeki Arcade. I've never read it, so I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for. I haven't read a Japanese arcade mag since Gamest stopped publications.

Dengeki often has news; Arcadia is another one that occasionally has arcade IIDX news or information. They had a series of extensive interview sessions with various IIDX artists and staff members at one point a couple years ago.

Shonen Jump, Famitsu and NKS also have IIDX information from time to time.

I thought Shonen Jump was primarily active in the circulation of manga and whatnot. I had no idea that they dabbled in videogames too.

Apparantly I haven't. Isn't it like fan-made stuff or something? DDR SuperNOVA fanboys are always asking to 'torrent the anime that DoLL's from' or want to buy the RPG that Xepher's from.

Manga is original content or series-based comics.

Doujinshi are fan-made, usually erotic takes on parodies or otherwise popular anime, games, movies, etc.

oh... I get that shit all the time man! It's just like when you listen to stuff from other bemani games like kagerow, toe jam, or dragon blade... and they immediatley go i love that ddr song... I laugh and tell them to play dm/gf/pop'n/iidx...

I usually get the response of... "no man your thinking of guitar hero or beatmania" which angers me to death...

You don't know how much I can relate. I've learned to live with it. Then when people start talking about Guitar Hero, I say I like GF better, and DM is awesome. They say GF is obviously a rip-off and DM must be a gimmick. Then I ask what their take on a Drum Hero game would be; "AWESOME!!!"
It'd be nice if I could get my hands on any Japanese magazines about gaming easily. I can only get manga, auto and kiddie magazines.

Oh man I hear that stuff all the time... specially when im staffing cons... I bring everything bemani I got (pop'n, iidx, ddr, gf, jp taiko and some old school shit like keyboardmania) and everyone loves pop'n music... but all they do is play fucking tank! or cruel angel thesis (aka evangelion)... and it's amazing how much they love all the other non-american mainstream bemani... I had one guy offer me a couple hundred for guitar freaks... he said he's been playing gh since day one, and gf masterpiece blew him away lol...

people just need to be less ignorant... and learn the color coding in ddr groups to see that their songs are terribly ripped from another game/source... (fuck you under the sky... you shoulda stayed on iidx!)

It's not that hard to get ahold of these jp gaming mags... it's just whether your willing to pay the s&h... I'll give ya some links when I get home...
