Why is Happy Sky considered "bad"?

I was looking through the vjarmy forums and someone was mentioning that Happy Sky was a waste of time and such, etc.

Now, I'm considering getting HS for my first import, is anything truly bad about this style? And why is it considered the "worst" of the newer games? (from red up)

The only reason I can think of is SEXYSEXYCHEVY, and that's grown on me. I don't think anything about it makes it stand out as "bad".

Aside from it being a teensy bit cutesy (which I actually don't mind from time to time), HS is amazing. Can't imagine what they would be complaining about.

I think HS was better than DD and Red. It's all personal opinion though.

I was aware that there might be an overabundance of cutesyl J-pop, and I do remember that some people had lag issues.

Yeah, I liked Happy Sky over Red. Better interface, better songs, great revivals, easier to get into. Perhaps it's just the "theme". I mean, out of all the themes right now (Red, HS, DD, Gold, & DJ Troopers), which would you consider the "least mature"?

I dont like happy sky because I hate J-pop. However, there are enough good songs on there for you to add it to your collection.
I just seem to get bored with happy sky faster than any other mix post 8th really.
Happy Sky has its fair share of non cutesy songs (Scream Squad, Rage against the Usual, Polinoisis, Patriotism, ETC), and everyone says it has a better learning curve (However, the best learning curve I have found is in DD CS.)
If I were importing, I would get DD, then 10th, and then maybe happy sky, to get some light mixed in with all those dark mixes.

HS is totally not bad. In fact I would rate HS higher than even Distorted.

The charts for almost all the songs were well made, the songs were diverse and there's Scripted Connection => Long Mix.

Seriously, who told you this bullshit?

Owning 4th - distorted I can say happy sky is my second favorite style.

Substream sounded awesome in concept, but im sure there was alot of spatial issues along with arguing over what song to play/etc.

And was I the only one to think that First Resolution was a good song? That's probably how I figured out that Happy Sky even existed.

I loved Happy Sky. I like the happy and uplifting theme, plus, the clouds are just beautiful. My intro to Happy Sky was watching the intro/opening put to Twelfth Style instead of the normal system music. It just looks beautiful.
