Well other than the bass platform, and speakers, you can sort of quiet it down with the equalizer and adjustable levers. | |

yeah, they are loud. There are these things called EFFECTORS. You use them to turn the volume up or down. Seriously, you can turn the volume down so low that you can barely hear it.
Don't let the volume keep you from playing. Play at a volume you feel comfortable with. Myself, I play the game with all the effectors turned up. Suzaku's songs are more fun that way. | |

Not to mention most of the time all the bemani is stuffed into one area in an arcade, so being loud is good. You wouldn't want to feel like you are playing IIDX to Crash because the DDR machine next to you is louder than your machine. | |

Like every arcade game, IIDX has an internal volume knob. Therefore, some machines are loud, and some are quiet.
IIDX machines are not necessarily loud, the people running your arcade just have it set as such.

ive noticed in Japan that most of arcades i visited, the arcade operators had placed these tall sound barrier like moveable plastic walls inbetween all their bemani games. each bemani game was at a substantial volume of sound which made the experience of playing very enjoyable for me and the person next to me as i wasnt or he/she wasnt interupted by the machine noise next to me or him/her. | |

My local machine is not loud.. the volume is turned up when nobody plays, so the people are attracted by the music..  I would kill for the max volume always, and not only when there aren't players who put coins in the cabinet ._. Quote:
