Like every arcade game, IIDX has an internal volume knob. Therefore, some machines are loud, and some are quiet.
IIDX machines are not necessarily loud, the people running your arcade just have it set as such.

That sounds SO fucking nice.
You can buy those sound barriers at music stores, I wonder if any arcades in the US would do that.
Maybe I should give them one? hahaha | |

the tekken machine itself isn't loud, it's the people playing and watching that literally yell at the game.
I wish they'd bloody well get rid of it and move it next to the soul caliber 2 machine that nobody uses. | |

It made ITG2/DDR impossible to play though...
Whenever I got my turn to play I turned the game up as loud as it could go. | |

Of course, in the sound department, NOTHING BEATS NEMESIS. You don't need to use ECHO or REVERB for that song; All you need is EQ ONLY and you can already get maximum sound satisfaction from there. Followed by that, it's usually Aurora as well as the Outphase songs that are real loud.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's an interesting thing:
rmz said a year ago that EQ ONLY was the loudest sound setting. I somewhat disagree on that a bit (just a bit).
It is not the loudest sound setting IMHO. Mostly it's ECHO 5 (but that adds too much delay) or REVERB 3 (on songs like H.O.P. or Gravity; or in dual control where the drumbeats are maxed out but that adds distortion).
EQ ONLY is not the loudest...........BUT...........it is the clearest and most fluid sound setting. Bassline is clear and synths can be heard without any interruption or loss.
I guess that's it.
P.S.
Oh and contrary to popular belief, Nebula Grasper and Love is Eternity (though loud songs on PS2 versions) are not really that loud when you play on an actual BM IIDX game cabinet.
