Why are IIDX cabinets so LOUD?

Well, it would make sense to be loud since in Japan arcades are probably pretty noisy and not being able to hear the music to a music game would suck, and well maybe the don't mess with the settings.

Slightly off topic but I tend to have slightly better accuracy when I play with the volume really loud.

I agree.

But in where I play in my country, sometimes stalls like Starbucks and the nearby Chapel often complain during Sundays about how loud the machine is. Happens often as the machine is located in the very entrace of the video arcade/game center.

Oh well, but thankfully less complaints about it now (as long as I don't play Mei with EQ ONLY)

oh my god dont play tiger yamato on a IIDX machine, its so ear piercing loud. I remember someone played it, and I thought my ear was bleeding.

I also find it alot easier to play when the game is really loud, I seem to be more accurate.

I still think that NEMESIS is still the loudest song of all (in the arcade version).
