No, I kid.
I don't have too much planned up for this year. I guess I'll roll out the Sakura picture, the Hardcore Synergy one, and Iroha from Samurai Showdown (if I can finish it on time). I'll also get all the Dan Kim-esque fate/stay things from last year.
Crossing my fingers on getting a table that isn't separated an ungodly distance from the main area. Artist Alley's arrangement was terrible last year.

If I recall correctly, 2004 and 2005 were far worse for the Artist Alleys. They were literally in the convention center's basement. Poor lighting, cramped, some tables were even right in front of emergency exits or even under the stairways. 2006 was better for them as the Anaheim Convention Center just let the SPJA have the hall next to the Exhibit Hall for Artist Alley, food, and Registration. As far as I'm concerned, 2006 had the best overall convention layout for AX.

So Iroha's a go I suppose. Hihumi is eh, and Nyah is a-ok.

The surprising thing is that the Long Beach P.D. wasn't at all concerned about that, but when the Exhibit Hall line loops around and under ITSELF, that's when they go into cattle herding mode. Which brings me to another point of discussion: The Line for the Exhibit Hall
Okay, the Exhbit Hall may be the biggest attraction for me, but if I'm going to wait in line for 2 hours in the middle of the day in Southern California in July, I better be GETTING money instead of waiting to spend it. That shit was fucking ridiculous last year (refer to earlier WTF LINE LOOP ) I was staying in the 9th floor at the Renaissance, which was a crosswalk and a pedestrian bridge away from the LBCC and had a perfect view of the Center, the whole bayfront, etc (which by the way was an absolutely beautiful view to sleep to at night, especially with the Queen Mary and the Ferris Wheel), so when I wake up, it's hilarious when you're in your big-ass air-conditioned hotel room and there's people waiting in line for something I end up just waltzing my way right into 2 hours later, no wait.
Then again, I'm not exactly looking for specific items. My friend, on the other hand, is trying to look for this:
A $350 figure of Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion on a racing motorcycle. I say $350 because there was only one that either of us saw last year and it was marked at "tree-fiddy."
(On a side note, I wouldn't mind the Daijiro Kato version of that one, or this bike by itself: )

Marketplace Rating: 0 | So according to a friend who knows a friend who knows a friend who has some kind of ties to either one of the hotels, one of the charter bus companies, or AX (I was half-asleep when they called), the AX Shuttles will be hotel-patrons only during peak hours (sometime between 8am to 10pm) and from 10pm to 8am, it's open to everyone else. Which would make sense, considering that it'd be a hell of a waste to shuttle maybe 3 people from the hotels at around midnight or 1am, to, say, 10-15+ people, hotel and no hotel combined.
The only thing is how often would they run on off-peak, and will there be parts of the night they won't run at all (it was posted on the site as a 24-hour continuous service...)

Marketplace Rating: 11 | So I got a room at Motel 8 on Figueroa, not that far from the convention center, I just need two more people and things will be set,
Can't wait till Friday to buy my ticket and then reserve the room when everyone else confirms with me.

I used to think I didn't have a girlfriend because there was a problem with me. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......... WRONG. On a slightly less "I should discuss this with my therapist"-ish subject, it's now less than a month away from AX. And I'm still broke as fuck. Looks like I'll have to sell off a few more games and maybe start working the streets.

Marketplace Rating: 11 | Haha, yeah, its seems like, "I need to save money, oh crap I want that" is happening, but I have slightly more money this year than I had last year, but with high gas prices now, it probably doesn't matter anyway.

Not quite sure on that), so it's tough. While I did save a good amount of money by not getting a hotel room, I've also had to face the problem of me being in college now and just recovering from the expenses from my younger sister's Sweet 16 (none of these affecting my cash last year), so I've got one month to find all the people that owe me favors/money (preferably money) and get on their cases. I just hope I don't owe anything to them!
Also, less than a month away and no real massive guests or events (yeah, yeah. Batman: Gotham Knight panel/DVD screening. I know)? A bit of a letdown, don't you think?
