Marketplace Rating: 15 | Shit..I'm a little late on the trading data stuff. I was on vacation..but I'll trade data with you Chris. I need to fill in scores a bit more since I haven't had much time to play since it was released. If I ever get my ass down there again, I'll bring it. Stacy...you can take my data too, don't be afraid.

I'm sure it's something that's fine if you get used to it though but for someone who is expecting colors, it messes with you. I don't know what happened like if the timing is different or if I just plain suck, but I swear something was weird cuz I failed Deep Striker. I'm not that great at IIDX at all, but I don't really ever fail that song except for yesterday, my timing was way off. It was probably a number of factors though. It was the first time I played on a working Drummania V5 too. Props to you guys for having that.
I left with a bad impression though because I hardly saw anyone playing games there save for SF4. I played Technika for almost an hour on Saturday because there was no line.. at SVGL there is always a line, which kind of sucks to wait in, but it means we have a bigger community, I think. Also some guy squashed a bug! It wasn't a spider or anything and I was about to take it outside but he just SQUASHED it like right there! Made me kind of mad. | Yes, I squashed the bug. It was a cockroach, and not some random innocent bug that lost his poor little way. :c The cockroach shouldn't be walking around on the same counter that holds food/candy which AI sells, because the is disgusting. And it is also the same counter that Stacy puts her food on when she gets a chance to eat. Better to get rid of it instead of keeping it around.
As for the IIDX screen; it's much easier to read the screen at night instead of the daytime when there is a bit of a glare on the screen. Before SVGL got their newest IIDX monitor, you couldn't find a better screen than AI's for IIDX on a US machine. The screen is not "awful" in any sense, and is perfectly playable. It probably does take some getting used to after solely playing on a "perfect" screen, though.

Marketplace Rating: 3 | lol, thank you Madek! <3 Yeeah, cockroaches are a bit of a problem at AI because sooo many people bring food and drinks and sometimes they leave it on the floor or gets spilled. I really do try to keep the arcade clean (as possible) but they just keep coming. Sorry you had to see that though. As for the Technika card, if you want to, PM me your address and I can send it over by mail. Shipping it shouldn't be too much of a problem, lol. I would like to visit SVGL one of these days. If anything, I think Super Arcade has a pretty bad screen and I bet it's still IIDX RED. Scott, some other guy that comes to AI for Technika was the one who left me with the Black Square card, not Mike Yum, lol.
It IS easier to play IIDX at night and if you get used to it. I've been playing IIDX on that screen for almost a good 4 years now and I've really improved from playing all the time at AI. Playing at home helps too. :3 A lot of regulars that play can still get an impressive AAA.
Haha, fine, I will take your data, afex. I just know most of your scores will be at least 70-100+ higher than mine. D:

But AI's IIDX does beat SVGL's on 3 counts: it costs less credits, you can hear the song you're playing, it's a better alternative to the awful Red that Super Arcade has. What a joke. I started with Happy Sky so I was looking forward to playing some older songs that aren't on Troopers. That didn't happen. EDIT: Quote:

And yeah I don't think I saw anybody down there play IIDX and not AAA. All the good IIDX players at SVGL don't play anymore.

When 10th style was over at AI, I remember some of the SVGL and Vegas players taking a trip down here to play on our machine because it was less laggy if not no lag at all. But yes, you do have a perfect screen so it most likely is better than our TV. But most of the oldschool players grew up on this machine.

Marketplace Rating: 3 | All right~! I got your address now Yan. I can probably send it out tomorrow since it's my day off. Don't worry, I won't stalk you. Let me know if it came over Ok. AAA's are pretty rare for me but I do get pretty close on a lot of songs. I'm getting there!!!
I don't go to Super Arcade because it's just too run down... More so than here. That and I'd rather spend my money at AI + I WORK HERE!!!! Oh, I cleaned up that sticky mess near the SF4 and 3rd Strike. Nobody told me there was a spill and it was waaay too crowded in that area then anyway.

It's a surprise to me that they're holding Tekken tournaments, and getting people from norcal to join.

I mean the other arcade nearby that had Tekken 6 was at a video store and it was 10xs more ghetto than Super. I went out to get something from the car and a regular seriously told my friend "you should go out with her to the car it's kind of sketchy here". Just to get something from the car? Really? Maybe I'm lucky I didn't get shot.
But yeah I checked online to see what bemani they had since I knew I'd be stuck there and I was really happy to see they had slightly older versions of pretty much every bemani game, which is nice because it's good to play the older licensed songs every once in a while. But every single game there was broken except Pop'n and KBM, which weren't even on. The only working bemani game was Beatmania 6th. I'm sure you guys know all this though...
Honestly save for SVGL, it's a little like that here too.. Miplitas and San Jose Golfland don't maintain their games very well either. Just be thankful you have Arcade Inifnity and all your working games. I sure will miss you guys's Drummania .__.

Marketplace Rating: 2 | I think your expectations were a bit high as well as coming at a bad time. Personally, I like coming when it's a bit empty, but if you're visiting on a trip, I can see why you would want to see a few more people there. If you visited a couple more times, I'm sure your view would change a bit, especially if you meet the regulars/people from here.
