This is obviously a trap to get me sent to prison on multiple homicide charges.

Regards to DJP's post, I like the idea of a large "get-together".

I was thinking a few days ago what would be a good idea is if Ken or an employee puts up a large bulletin board with a large sheet of paper on it with a pen, and let anyone who wants to sign it for the hell of it sign it. Disclaimer stating to only sign it once, and then after a certain amount of time, take it down and laminate it. Signatures would be of a username, real name, etc.

After all said and done, put it on one of the walls with a tack or whatever works for all to see the different people that venture into AI including people that post on the forums.

Just a thought <_<;

Hahaha, wtf Zane? I think Eddie says it the best. Organizing a group sounds like a good idea! I had a group of friends last year that used to come almost every Friday evening for dinner then AI. Not so much anymore. Mostly because they live far, don't have much money, and/or they're busy. They just stop coming as often. It does make me a bit happy when I see some nice crowds + regulars on Sundays and sometimes Mondays. I do blame the early closing times for the shortage of money. It's hard to watch the arcade close when the people inside still want to play a bit longer... Anyway, Ryan and I will most likely be there tomorrow.

Yeah I haven't seen Ken, Dave or Janet there in ages. Then again I haven't been there for nearly 2 months now.

I wouldnt mind going tomorrow but I got to study for the damn GRE.

Btw where's bob? I always see him dragging a sack of tokens the size of a chanel purse so I presume he is probably a major contributor to AI. But the increase in token sales he contributes probably levels out with the loss of sales from the number of people he scares away with his creepiness.

LOVE IT! I would go for a get together. Even though I don't really know anyone. LOL But if Ken reads these forums and gets advice from some of us. I do have to honestly say I have faith that the monitor will be replaced for the IIDX. Not that I'll stop playing now with its current monitor, but if it eventually gets changed out with no magnetic waves altering the color. Well WOO HOO!!! YAY! My vision is so oddly abscured on the 1P sides sometimes mistaking the blue notes for the white notes.

Everything sounds very cool to come though. Thanks again Eddie

Well, Guitar Freaks is down. I can't think of another game he plays.

P.S. Gathering does sound kind of fun.

i go there every friday pretty much from 9 or 10 to closing. those of you who know what i look like... come say what's up ;] i usually go on fridays to see if other people that i know came to play, and while waiting for games and whatnot we always talk, but sometimes no one comes and i'm quite literally bored waiting for games =P

yeah im gonna play the heck out of happy sky cuz i wanna start AAAing on the arcade machine! PS2 timing is too lenient

oh and the iidx screen...

sudden+ saves me from having to discern the blue notes that turn colors. personally no problem with the monitor. but a new one would be a nice, luxurious addition to the iidx machine ;]

PS2 timing is legit. Gotta remember too....... IIDX AC versions like at AI..... you have to consider its monitor, the circuitry, it also running on a CPU instead of your PS2. You are not going to get a quick response on the AC version vs. the PS2 version.

I think the staff at Konami in Japan probably takes more pride in the PS2 versions of beatmania for its better accuracy.

uh, arcade timing is harder than ps2 timing. by linient i mean i get more flashing greats at home, and thats because they made it that way. the machine is indeed complex and whatnot, but the bruises on the monitor at AI dont affect your timing if you play at home on a regular tube TV. i played HS on a friend's plasma tv when i went over, with timing adjustment, and when i came home my timing was completely ruined. it took me nearly a dozen songs to get it back.

if they took pride in home versions of iidx they wouldnt have taken 2 years to release 7th style after seriously considering discontinuing the home versions. its just more n00b friendly at home, to put it bluntly. anybody can AAA a simple normal chart at home. its not better accuracy, its larger timing windows.

well, with the exception of gambol [a]

I didnt feel like there is timing problem until I started to play ps2 at home. Now I feel like I need to press a little earlier than I do at home when i play the arcade..
I think I will change my route, I will go there on Saturday..
Is there lots of people there on saturday afternoon? I hate waiting for like 30minute to play once...

i think generally saturdays you have more people on the machines than fridays... people avoid fridays because "crazy people come"

edit: i should've probably mentioned this earlier, but the eye levels when you play on the arcade machine and at home are very important. i've seen/heard of many home setups that are drastically different from playing on the arcade machine, and vice versa. for example... could be just a peculiarity but i cant play on the machine standing up. if i ever went to japan and there isnt the white ikea stool nearby (w00t AI) at the arcade i happen to go to, i'd be devastated.

anyways im gonna be there tomorrow... or today now?
