Thats because rubbing on plastic builds a net charge on your body, and when you become electrically grounded, the charge leaves your body which results in an electrical shock... I think....

Nah, it's not a static shock, it's actual current. Might be fixed already, I dunno, I don't go around testing it each time I go to AI. ;x
