just who are these distributors? do you say this just because play-asia and himeyashop DO carry iidx CS versions? if there's anything different from the 3-year break between 6th and 7th CS than now, the CS versions come with a lot of extras that are incentives for people to actually want to own the game.
iidx is a niche game and of course there will always be people who play the game as long as it keeps coming out. it doesnt mean they're making great enough profits on CS releases that they'd actually like to make AC releases "like" CS. think about it this way. i preordered the DD LE for $102 sans shipping. i probably spent something like $1000 on iidx at AI in my 1 1/2 years of playing there. i'd like to try and remember how many times i pulled out $20 bills to get tokens but whatever. hypothetically in a normal arcade (AI's a special case, from what i hear it doesn't make enough) with music games like iidx and regulars like me, they'd have more than enough to upgrade to the next version -- which konami will profit off of since those arcades will buy new kits, plus if it were in japan or select countries with e-amuse, konami is making even more off of their subscription.
konami changing gold's timing into CS timing doesn't mean they like the CS versions better in any way. if it says anything, they wanted to make the game easier to get good scores on so more people would play at the arcades and not be discouraged by people who are 320583014930491x times better than them. thanks to that now tatsujins have 20 greats on stuff like poodle, and so it really didnt change anything about beginners not wanting to play.

1p side is not as bad as the 2p side at least. and um, if vibrant colors help your playing style, try playing happy sky CS on pop'n skin.
no more with "AI's monitor is affecting my performance". we should be pouring our tokens in the machine and helping ken out, not try to make him cave in to buying a new monitor that's not entirely necessary, esp for its cost.
that's all folks. catch me at AI playing gold.
p.s. any update on the pop'n token slot? if i remember correctly, it was still taped shut on friday.
