hey first post on these forums and was wondering if the GnS there in Ventura has $10 Tuesday/ Thursday's and was wondering what happened to EA, for I used to go there a lot about 3 years ago. Sorry to hear that they closed, I wonder what happened to their IIDX machine, cause one of my arcade owner friends was looking for one to purchase.

the lazerstar I work at in camarillo is fixing up their pads and upgrading to itg2 in the next few weeks if you guys are tired of playing the one and GnS.

Does that mean you're taking the grip tape off of them? Please make sure you have it patched up to R21 and have all the songs unlocked and I may have to make a trip out there.

there hasnt really been much grip tape on em in a while. Our tech is going to clean o ut the pads and see if any sensors are going to be replaced and ill talk to him about the r21 patch. Im not sure if the software has even arrived yet.

We might upgrade by the end of this week. I know our tech is working on it maybe on Wednesday and I'm going to work to test it. So it will be a fun day at work. The grip tape is still on the pads, but I've been playing on them so long i didn't notice it anymore. Does the r21 patch come with the upgrade and if not how would we go about applying it?

I think it all depends on which one you want. Not many ppl are fans of the R21 since its so much work. And I believe R21 does not come with it.

Ill talk to our tech. I want them to j ust upgrade to a dedicab but I really doubt i can persuade them. I do know we will be either repairing of replacing the pads though since the owner wants good pads for the upgrade. What condition is the itg2 at GnS in anyway? Last time i went it was terrible.

no idea. We have NO regulars there except the people who work there. If you come on the weekends later into the night maybe past 7 Ill give you guys free credits since I can get the keys and my manager on weekends doesn't give a shit. My names Jacob. Don't ask anyone at the front but if i see people playing that don't suck i usually give them some rounds. Were you freestylying when you were playing? with handstands and whatnot?

No it doesn't. The machine at GnS is terrible even though I got them to put r21 onto it. To upgrade your kit just follow the instructions on here: Machine Updates - In The Groove

Basically:

1) Download the patch to a USB stick
2) Go into the Operator's Menu & select Machine Update

Also I reccomend staying away from r23 because it fixes the issue where custom songs could be longer than 120 seconds. If you have any more questions let me know. It would nice to play on a decent ITG2 again.
