Alright, just came back from this place a short while ago:
GS Arcade is located on Valley in the city of El Monte in a large shopping center in the intersection of Santa Anita Ave and Valley.
GS Arcade is also known as Grand Slam Arcade and is part of a business that includes an arcade, LAN Center (maybe 20 computers at most), and a hobby shop full of sports and card collectibles.
This place is very small and cozy and easy to attract a big audience (right next to an Edwards 8 Cinema). For those of you wondering, there is a Subway, Jack in the Box, and Del Taco in the shopping center; there is also a Chinese Food restaurant that has $.99 Milk Tea Boba--I had some and it wasn't close to being good, but it
is only $.99, so I guess it was worth it.
Other stuff I saw at the arcade were Battle Gear 3, Marvel vs Capcom 2, and an air hockey table way in the back. I was immediately drawn to the ITG2 machine which was right in the front (still $.75/3 songs), so I didn't really have any reason to explore today.
The pads are still amazing, as they were when it was still in Glendale, so no worry about pad misses on this machine. I was even able to improve a few of my scores today:
Also, because it's in El Monte, not too many people play ITG/DDR, so I had the machine practically to msyelf except for one time when two guys decided to try out the game for the first time.
Anyway, this place is awesome and worth coming to if you live in the 626 or even 909 and 323 area. I'll be coming here a lot until I move out for UCSD on the 16th
