Wow, I start posting on here only to find all these other BMS members going to Japan Arcade.
My typical trip to Little Tokyo is usually Casa Manga (sure, it's probably bootleg anime, but for $12/disc, I'm not complaining), Japan Arcade, grab an Italian Soda at the ice cream shop on the 1st level of the mall where JA is, then maybe stop by Kinokyuniya and get some food at the Curry House To Go.
I'm still dissappointed that the Samba de Amigo machine is just sitting there, waiting to be activated. And funny thing about the Typing of the Dead machine. Back when it was on the right side of the BM machine, instead of those stools they have for all the sitdown games, or those swivel seats, they used leftover Ridge Racer (I know, RIIIIIIIDGE RACERRRRRR) seats for TotD. Too bad I'm moving to Arizona next week. I've just quit my job, I'm packing up and going out. Chances are I might go to Little Tokyo sometime during the early week next week with my friends, but Japan Arcade? Maybe not. I've been frequenting Family Arcade on Vermont, right across the street from L.A. City College. I just went today.
Anyways, I might stop by on my occasional trips back to L.A., but oh well. Too bad I didn't know about everyone here going sooner. For anyone who goes to JA and plays Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune, my name might be familiar. I have the top time for the Metropolitan Highway TA on both machines (at least as of a month or 2 ago, haven't checked). That or I'm the guy with the backwards cap that drives the purple Toyota Celsior.
