Oh and they have two Drummania machines. With about 3/4ths of a good snare between the two of them.

They still have DDR 4th Plus for some reason. My mom likes MGL better than SVGL just because the lay-out is better, not to mention that the food is slightly better.

As many of you know by now, MGL now has DDR SuperNOVA in the golf arcade, rignt in front of ITG2, back to back with PPP.

The first couple of days, SN was working properly. After that, SN would crash around 9 p.m. every night. like when it goes either in demo or playing mode, the arrows would scroll to the marker, right when the first arrow reaches to the marker, BOOM, the screen turns black and all of the panels light up. Then the game gets unplugged for 10 minues and then the game goes into restart sequence. the problem persists afterwards. So basically, as of this posting, SN doesn't work after 9 pm everynight.

The tech tried to put a fan behind SN to cool down the computer, that did not solve the problem. So they contacted Betson enterprises and they will ship a new I/O Board that could solve the crashing problem. I've heard the I/O board arrives at MGL by Friday and the head tech will install it. Hopefully it will solve the issue.

The nice thing about the place is that it has the only PIU Zero in the Bay Area other than D & B, unless I'm mistaken...

All it'd need is IIDX an pop'n, and then it'd be as good as Sunnyvale, but alas...

Any PIU players here?

it needs;

-to repair all of it's machines because they are ALL broken (all bemani)
-to upgrade ALL of it's bemani to latest version (like sunnyvale)
-to actually get STOOLS for drummania
-to get some fucking ventilation in there because they keep all the doors closed

and then it would be nearly as good as sunnyvale.

- to not use a semicolon when a colon is needed. GB2/school.
- to not be so

- to get a job/life/clue
- to get some fucking ventilation to your head. Like with a shovel or aluminum bat or something

MGL used to be my favorite place to go when I was like, 7 and I had birthday parties there like 2 times. Now I live too far from MGL and I dont think ive been there in over a decade. I played golf mostly, back then there were no bemani games. they didn't even have much of an arcade there either.

Huh? Last I went:

DDR Supernova tournament going just fine, ITG2 and PIU Zero working just fine. Only outdated machine I could see was beatmania III, but I don't know enough about drummania or Guitar Freaks to know. No broken games I could see, except that the Zero spazzes and doesn't turn on until an hr. after it's been shut off.

There were stools for Drummania, so no problems there, and the place keeps all the doors open all day...

Which leads me to wonder... when the last time you've been to that place? Granted, it lacks pop'n and IIDX, but it's STILL a decent place (and a Godsend for PIU players) with a decent staff; well at least for Drummania, Guitar Freaks, and stepping games.
