Im going up this summer to visit some friends at UCSC. Any one in the area have any suggestions on what to do up there?

I went up once already a month or so ago and checked out the campus and walked through alot of the town.

Santa Cruz has the best carne asada burritos ive ever eaten.

Besides the point but yeah any ideas on what i should do up there?

boardwalk has Beatmania THE FINAL. I dunno if it's still broken. Hopefully not.

SVGL is like 20 mins away. They got DJ TROOPERS, Pop'n Fever and GF/DM V4. Not to mention a bunch of other stuff I don't pay attention to.

also go to either La Victoria or Mondo Burrito for ultimate burritos in San Jose.

Excellent. Is there anything to do around town? How is it in summer because when i went spring break so the campus was dead. Since im going in the summer id imagine it would be the same and there wont be much to do on campus.

The last time I went down there we hung around in downtwon for a bit that was pretty cool. We also walked from the campus to this lighthouse park, and hiked around campus. Other than that though I just sat around my friends dorm hit a gravity bong and watched zombie movies. So any elaboration on my previous journey would deem my next visit a success.

Unfortunately I might not get the chance to hit up many arcades when I'm up there as my friends up there aren't to into games. Not to mention all my transportation will be by bus.

As a former resident of Santa Cruz for 20 years, I can tell you this; if you haven't made a plan by 9 o clock or so with your friends, and you're not into Denny's, movie theatres, or old enough to drink, you'll probably be bored as hell. The Boardwalk has gone down in recent times, but I'd go just to for kicks if I were you. Since UCSC is relatively close to downtown (just hop on one bus and you're there,) you'll probably find some neat things on Pacific Ave, including the transit center which can take you to San Jose and then SVGL
