Well, welcome to the last 6 years of the PA legacy of SVGL. This arcade has turned out some of the best players in the US. Therefore the strategies we use tend to be handed down to the next batch of pa'ers that learn from us.

uhhh....so do a lot of ppl still play iidx at svgl? I've gone up there like 4 times this past month and whenever I'm there its dead at the iidx machine. Maybe one or two people will play one game and then never play it again the rest of the time I'm there. I've gone in the afternoon and in the evening, but its still the same. Do they mainly go on the weekends or something?

Yeah. I was at arcademania last night and like 5 people were constantly lined up to play. But I think it's pretty much dead besides then. I am pretty sure that lots of people play, but they just don't go at the same time.

Interesting thing though, a lot of people turned on Easy. Makes me sad whenever they fail a song...on easy.

I think recently when I go to SVGL during non Arcademania times, nobody plays IIDX, despite it's Happy Sky. I'm kinda surprised that hardly anyone plays SuperNOVA here, even though the machine doesn't have the same issues that MGL's machine does( the overheating).

I guess alot of IIDX players go there during arcademania and probably SuperNOVA gets crowded as well.

You got to be kidding me!?!? In what way are the pads are in poor shape? It seems that only CVGL has a perfect working machine in the Bay. I don't know if MGL ever got to replacing their I/O board?

Sticky, freezes don't register, blah blah and so on. It was put on freeplay for a while and it got played a lot. I think right now Ex has the best pads.

santa cruz reportedly has the best one

and in what way, maybe a 300+ pound guy jumping on the pad and getting misses on every single jump when he clearly hit them on beat, along with six or seven other people there being unable to hit jumps or other normal arrows 70% of the time (getting misses, not greats)

went today

got #1 on Des-Row course on popn. Played Mario Kart for the first time, rocked at it. It sucks though because you can only do 1 race for 4 tokens '~'. I also did not know that the original IIDX course was comprised of secret songs (and V for some reason).

So, is there any chance of there being another bemani tournament in the near future?

No, because now tournaments are held at MGL because MGL is obviously with better pads, games, and machine location /sarc
