2p is how bad though? like, getting actual misses out of nowhere bad, or just one great every now and then that wasn't legitimate?

Still bad, but I think it's a bit easier to hold freezes.

Let's put it this way. I was playing the Attractive Sota course. On 1P side I had a lot of trouble finishing Can Be Real (third song) because I keep getting N.G.s from the earlier songs. On the 2P side I got to Look To The Sky (fourth song) easily.

Passed my first 11 footer on ITG yesterday at golfland, Charlene Expert 72.something percent. I've also decided to change my hi-score name on the IIDX machine to "furry" :/ Also several high scores on PNM machine (I am terrible with cools )

I was surprised to see svgl looks almostly exactly like shgl. Shgl had more of the dual screens, though. And it was more cramped. And they had Killer Instinct.

RIP SHGL

Back in the day, svgl was like norcal's mirror of shgl. since closing, though, the hardcore of svgl have mostly moved on, and it's a shithole now (bemani-wise, at least).

sad days indeed. =(

If it's comforting for you guys, SVGL still has more selection for Bemani than either Milpitas (almost the same distance from me in San Leandro) or Castro Valley (6 mins)... although the pad problems there sound egregious, but at least you have the choice of playing IIDX or pop'n...

The only reason I've gone to Milpitas is because going to Sunnyvale would mean sacrificing my first favorite game (PIU) for my second favorite (IIDX)... and that combined with the length of drive makes it a bit painful. :P But I've whined enough about that already.

How is the arcade community over there nowadays? It might be interesting to stop by once someday.

A lot more people play DM/GF. Supernova is getting quite a bit of attention, although not much. IIDX is still only played by a few regulars. At least that's what I've seen.

I stopped by on Saturday. DDRex is now broken. It keeps getting an error on "drive check" and just restarts or something.

P.S. I saw chubs.

The DDREX machine has been broken for the longest time. Could it be totally busted?

I have no idea. Although I've pretty much quit DDR, it does suck that EX is busted. If I ever wanted to restart, I'd have to play ITG2 or SN. Most likely, I won't be playing DDR again. I miss being semi-able to clear HVY tracks. If I played now, I'd be gasping for air not even halfway through the first track...

...and that's why I play DrumMania.

*I don't know why I didn't post here sooner*

Why would you bother to get rid of it?

Especially one of the few in the Bay Area... if there is any other? Are the IIDX and pop'n machines well kept over there, by the way?

Yup. Well, to my knowledge. I was playing Pop'n and IIDX on Wed. and they worked fine to me.
