In all honesty, it's so close to AI, I almost never bother going there unless I don't feel like waiting in line for DM.

At least at Super Arcade you can actually hear shit. But the place can make anyone sad when they walk in.

It's far easier to hear what you're playing on the IIDX Red there than IIDX Happy Sky at AI thats a plus.

But man, their IIDX machine is pretty ghetto. Small screen tv and the picture is nowhere as clear as your typical IIDX machine. At least theres no problem with the colors. But still, it's not what a IIDX machine should look like.

Even so, Super is my home arcade. That's where I started Guitar Freaks, Drummania, and even IIDX. I'm usually found there wednesdays and fridays between class, sometimes after. Sometimes I'll sparatically pop up just to get a drummania fix...

Speaking of Drummania, they really need to fix their hh. I'm sick of trying to roll on any song basically, but specifically Concertino ext and Tamayura ext. I mean, granted not playing for around 2-3 months has really slowed me down in terms of playing...back to getting Bs on Mad Blast ext and Cs on Concertino ext, but you can tell when shit isn't responding...

As for IIDX, right now their 1P bottom row of keys aren't doing so hot. Try playing a simple chart like Attitude 7key and you'll find yourself wanting to kill the keypad for not responding...seriously...

Games I know of....

GF (3 stages) DM (4 stages) V sessioned bonus track = 1 song: 4 tokens
Beatmania IIDX red: 4 tokens (received complaints about the timing being bad)
Beatmania III 7th style???: 4 tokens
DDR Extreme: 4 tokens

I go here frequently as this is the only place that has a functional GF machine that is not a too outdated version (at least till AI gets theirs fixed).

I think its owned by the same guy that owns japan arcade. Their tokens are the same. And the token machines have the same anal warning about if you are caught using other tokens you need to pay double the price etc etc etc.

OOPs crap I noticed there was an older thread in california regarding this arcade. Well delete or lock this whatever... I can't figure out how to delete too drunk atm

Yeah, the HH is annoying. I was there last night and got a B or A on Right on Time and a borderline low A on Joker. ~_~

Oh, and the IIDX is 3 songs.

Also, the left guitar broke on us last night. The entire machine was off a week ago, so yeah, definite issues there.

Sorry Tim, it's been down for a bit now. And I'm pissed that the effector knob broke again...when I play I like to sort my songs so I'm not scrolling forever...

And the Drummania HH is driving me mad. It's ghost hitting like it's been doing for the past month or so, worse than it usually does, meaning no rolls on even simple stuff like Agnus. I mean... I tried NGS just for the hell of it, and it doesn't even work that well there either...

Yeah I was there the pick on the left side doesnt work and either the hi hat is hitting itself or the timing is just off in general its definitely not working to the best it can.

First AI then Super Arcade...... is there hope for mankind?

As of Monday:

GF = left guitar scotch taped to the machine, but the machine is on and 2p side . . . works. (I feel it's hard to play, the fret buttons feel weird, but it's not broken in any way.)

DM = HH problem is still there - it's basically just shakey, and double-activates because of it. I found it's because of the right-side of it isn't secured, so it's more stable if you hit the left side. Still not great though.

New update for DM: Snare is completely broken last time I went. It had a sign taped over it: "Use auto."

. . . too bad there's no auto-snare, huh. ;/

(And yes, I tried a game anyway, the snare didn't register once. Yay for failing Misirlou!)
