Technika in Castro Valley (CVGL)

We finely got Technika! It arrived Friday afternoon. Just one step towards resurrecting this arcade lol.

Now all we need IIDX, Pop'n Music, GF/DM V5 or V6 (We have V4 with headphone jack),and a better dance game (DDR X just doesn't cut it) then we can be an O.K. arcade lol. Well not that its a "bad" arcade, our games work... We just need better ones o.O

Neat! I visit SVGL every now and then, and I just helped my friend move to Castro Valley. Maybe I'll have a reason to visit him more often now.

Nice. This place is a lot more accessible from Berkeley than SVGL. Now all they need to get is IIDX, then I'll be happy.

PIU NXA would ensure me coming even more often... but IIDX and pop'n would also help me save gas money used for SVGL (great as that place is).

The staff there's pretty good.

The Technika HDD failed. It's under warranty so it'll be replaced. Terrible luck CVGL has had with Technika >.<

So our Technika machine got the BSoD, sad face. "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME." We were hoping that it could just be the SATA cable of the HDD got rattled loose, so we pulled out the computer and checked everything, sadly that wasn't the problem. We plugged in a keyboard to the computer and went into the BIOS to see if the boot order some how got messed up(unlikely) that wasn't it.

Strange the machine was working fine until the power got shut off for the night while my card was in the game, we turned the power back on to get it out and that's when we got the BSoD, also the game wouldn't release the card, we had to force it out...

We should have it fixed soon though, my guess is they will have to send us a new HDD and security dongle.

Kinda random, but if anyone cares this is the exact graphics card that's in the machine....

Just an FYI. There is a small hole on the card reader that you stick a paperclip to manually eject the card even if the power is off (like on CD drives)

Good news, they shipped out the new HDD this morning. Its coming from LA so it could be here tomorrow ^.^

Really good news, the HDD came today. I installed it, booted right up xD! TECHNIKA IS BACK! A day without Technika, hard times, hard times...

Wow I'm really glad CVGL has Technika now, even though I don't play it much. I'm still waiting for IIDX.

Is the SN2 Machine still there or was that replaced by DDRX?

Strange. My friend lives in Castro Valley and says he stopped by here the other day, but saw no Technika. Maybe he's just blind?

Does CVGL clean the screen? I feel like the screen is freaking dry ... hurts to drag lol
