I took the time to check out Plaza and Chula today, no love down there, heh, haven't been to those arcades forever, especially the redesign they did on Plaza Bonita.
Where are all the SD Technika Players at... I know they exist, and I know some even lurk here, stop lurking...GRRRrr post.

Marketplace Rating: 4 | Hey man you guys have quite the scores on this machine
Swung by today on the way back home to Paradise Hills, played about 4 games. Typical Tile change machines were broken except for the one beside the haxed DDR.
The placement is awesome, you'll awe movie goers trying to kill time but it was unplugged one time by someone playing Wheel of Fortune?

uLTraCarL did you use your Technika Card on the Machine here at Tilt? Did it keep your scores and what not? Well more like did you see the scores you got at Camelot and Irvine Boomers?

Marketplace Rating: 4 | You will see your scores only under your own scores
The high score for the song you see will be that machine's local score
I wasn't playing too good yesterday, only left some high scores in the high score listing. Couldn't crack any high scores

Marketplace Rating: 0 | just moved into UCSD today, and i detoured over to tilt to check out the machine. the touch screen isnt as smooth as i would like it, but its still pretty good. this'll probably be my new regular machine since i'll be down there for school a lot, but i need to find a more efficient way of getting there without having to drive my car, and without having to take a 50 minute bus ride

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Is this in comparison to other screens' smoothness?
I do know that when I first started playing about 2 months ago now (damn, that was fast) the screen looked incredibly clean. Now when I go there's a loooooottt of smudges. There a correlation here? o_O
Oh and, um, welcome to SD?

Oh and, um, welcome to SD? | yeah the smoothness is in comparison to irvine boomers and CGL. i wonder if theyre cleaning the screen at all?
i talked with the arcade manager a bit, apparently he was a big technika player too until he lost his card
haha thanks for the welcome. i was wondering if anyone else in SD actually comes on the forums, since no one was posting in this thread for a long time.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Yeah, he went by DJ Solar and he still has a lot of high scores on the machine. When I used to walk in for CvS2 I remember he would be "testing" the loctest machine out in freeplay. But yeah he's a cool dude. I don't think it would be hard to convince him to set up Platinum Crew...whenever that comes out.
Actually, now that I think about it, he lost his card right after I bought mine from him about 2 months ago. Damn. And I do remember that before he used to play he would bring in a lens cloth and clean the screen himself.
I guess I'll start doing that myself then. Be all casual like walking in with my card out, putting my card on top, taking a cleaning cloth out of my pocket, wiping the screen and putting in my quarters.

It wouldn't be clean otherwise.

man, the arcade manager is pretty awesome. yeah i asked him about getting plat crew and he said they'll definitely get it assuming they still have the machine. apparently the arcade has a habit of putting all their games on sale around winter. so on the offchance that someone with big bucks wants to buy their technika machine, we wont have it down here anymore

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I haven't played Technika in awhile. I think I'm having withdrawls. Watching patterns on Youtube is the only thing keeping me sane.
Yeah, I'm hoping someone doesn't buy it either. A lot of really awesome machines disappear like that. Like Arcana Heart 1 and a crap load of Bemani games (and I never got to finish House of the Dead 4). Though I'd like to see the person who has 10k to shell out on Technika.
If it does go away, though, all the more reason to get SD carpools up to AI.
