jeez when do the real technika players come out to westfield? only people i've ever seen playing other than me are first time newbies

You'll usually find me there on Tuesday and Thursday nights and if I am there, I'm there until closing (most of the time).

Peak hours for the arcade are usually around 7:00 PM and that's when a lot of people come out. Some just stick around to watch, some try to pick it up, some are decent players without cards and some are card players trying to beat Customizer or get alternate boss songs.

I know there's a group out there who go up to AI a lot, they usually come random weekdays and stick around for an hour or two at night.
Other players like Kasumi I've only seen once or twice and it was around 5-6 PM on a weekday.

Hm, I usually end up playing Technika once or twice a week on Wednesdays around 4-5 pm and on Friday/Saturdays around the same time. Most of the time end up staying for around maybe 2 hours or so.

But yeah, I don't really see other people play when I go and kinda bums me out :/

oh cool. i usually go on tuesdays and thursdays sometime between 6-8 pm. sometimes later. yeah it bums me out too when there arent any good players around, because then i have no one to learn from. i'm still a rookie still working on beating electro...

I was at Onami's in Mission Valley today for a sibling's birthday. Got to the arcade as soon as it opened. Apparently they got a cabinet built around a 360 for Street Fighter IV last night. It's time based for 2mins every quarter. It's pretty much a free upgrade for SSFIV, though.

Anyway, I had a pretty good day with Technika today. I can get to Son of Sun TP and got to Colours of Sorrow TP for the first time ever by beating Stage 3 Blythe PP.
My new schedule leaves only Tuesday nights for Technika since Cross Country meets happen every Thursday and there's no longer any reason for me to drive up to MV (I used to go to pick up my cousin from school).

Oh yeah, I'm DJ ITSERVIN. I made it to Top 10 on First Step today, too.
As for identifying me, I'll usually have a keychain hanging from my pants that has two red Ninjatown figures attached.

oh so theres a mission valley technika thread here might as well chime in here then I started trying to play at least once a week since its not much of a detour to visit mission valley on the way home from school (I go to SDSU). I used to go during afternoons but now I plan to go down on either tuesday or thursday nights after class unless I'm overkilled with hw haha. imo last thursday night had a decent sized crowd playing both technika and tekken 6, I never had to wait for more that 1-2 people tops to get my turn and that night I'd say there was at least 4-5 people waiting to play. I actually have two names on the technika rankings JONGO! and JONG0!, the first one I retired it ever since I misplaced the card =\

I stopped by real quick earlier tonight since I got out of class early, played a couple rounds but really the main purpose was just to take a look at the new SF IV console version cab. Its interesting, to say the least, I have a hunch they'll probably change it to Super SF IV once it comes out.

and cool, you're JONGO? I believe I met you some months ago. I'm that one weird Filipino kid with the Keys to the World card (if that helps any) who had problems clearing Stage 3 POP songs.

cool i'll probably be there today. i have tuesday and thursdays open after 11am, because i only have 2 classes in the morning. i usually go in the afternoon, but if everyone goes at night i'll probably do that too. i'm a tall asian kid with a LE panda card. hopefully i'll finally be able to beat electro today.

I ended up going yesterday, though I wasn't really expecting to.

I'll see if I can make it out today, I need to go pick up a present for tomorrow so I'll try to be in the area.

Also, damn, even bootleg SFIV is addicting. It steals away Technika time.

yeh i went on tues night but only stayed to play two games, was pretty burned out from school i felt i might fall asleep while driving lol. pretty sure i left before 8 because i had to stop by gamestop before 9 to pick up uncharted 2. I'll stop by tonight for sure, as for the time, dunno its whenever i finish up my midterm

Heh, damn I used to play alot here went we first got it...just the monies...ya know...

But I usually go right when it opens, 11am-3pm if I play, rarely at night...

And I'm sure Solar and Kotaro I forgot his name blew out my scores last time I went... but I should still be there somewhere...+) I'm sure I'll get back to it again, but Empress CS came out, so we'll see....=)

But if you guys designate a night to meet up I think I'll be down! Just let me know!

I guess Wednesdays are now the best days for me. Though I'd be all smelly and disgusting since its right after practice...so make it a Tuesday. Unless you guys want to do something on the remainder of the week.

Empress? I'm so envious. I haven't even been able to try a Beatmania game 'til I went to AI. Then I got my ass kicked on Standard.

Oh and I've been bringing my microfiber the last two times I went. That screen feels much better.
