DDR:X is not playable with that announcer right now. I played this game for almost 8 years now and never had a problem with the announcer until last night.

UBeat....I enjoy the one time I played it.

Whatever, I'll be there all day Thursday to get a review out

Though that kinda is the problem: He's overdoing.

To the point that it get's kinda distracting.

Oh and obviously, the brand new cabinet is really from Konami Japan no doubt.

With that said, given the generally negative feedback on how Betson produces brand new cabinets for these games, I would suggest that all brand new cabinets would indeed have to come from Konami Japan.

IMHO it's much better that way.

At least you won't have to face issues with that pad as well other parts being unreliable

Two cents.........but I do believe that it's better if they'd do it that way.

TCL is a group of people. Chango is likely the guy you were asked about.

Regardless of that, what do you guys think of both games so far? And have any of you asked about e-amusement at all?

I believe he told me about them wanting to make it cheaper, if anything. If it wasn't e-amuse he said, he said uBeat to be cheaper.

There will be alternate solutions to unlocking things if you don't have an e-amuse connected machine.

And again, the American cabinets might not be made by the Japanese team and the final build might not even look like this. We could be stuck with a smaller machine for all we know by Betson or a different company.

I went today for a five hour stint of UBeat. Aside from having the most fun I have had at an arcade in quite a while, I was able to talk to a couple of Konami Reps, one of which was the Producer of UBeat.

Aside from the standard questions like if I liked the game or not, balancing suggestions, song choices, etc., they asked me what other types of Bemani games I play. I told them I was a primarily a IIDX player and wanted to get into pop'n. It was at this point the converation got interesting...

Now, I'm gonna preface this with THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED TO HAPPEN but they told me they were interested in possibly doing a IIDX Location Test over at Boomers sometime in the future. Again, THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THIS WILL HAPPEN, as they stressed this to me, but at least they are thinking about it.

I also got the chance to battle the Producer when the crowds died down mid-afternoon. He won on all three songs we played, but I was close to winning on a couple of them.

Planning on going back sometime soon see if I can pass some more 9's aside from Informer...

Ey.....

Did any of the Konami reps mentioned anything as to whether there would be more e-amusement locations in your country (USA).............aside from the one in Illinois???

If I remember, there were certain locations that requested for the service (like TGA and the Dave and Busters chain)......but were not permitted by Konami or something.

-------------
Well in any case, more e-amuse locations should pop.

It shouldn't be that while this decade ends, only one location would only have it.

---------------
P.S.

Oh and maybe in the future, maybe they can allow for two or more jubeat (I mean 'Ubeat') machines to connect to each other locally w/o e-amuse.

Via LAN/local network connection.

Something like a local PVP battle or some kind of cooperative play.

Just a suggestion

The 2 machines there are already hooked up for head to head play
Looking at the back, they were hooked up together by a cat5 or something. Along with that both were hooked up to a switch as well

Instead of heading Sandstorm off-sync with each other, it'll sync it up and you will just battle each other

A little bit of information that I don't think anyone had said that in uBeat my "name" was automatically Boomers and it kept going back and forth with Konami while I played.
