Kelton, or Veteran. From there its about a 20 minute walk to campus but its probably the only place you will find free parking on weekends. Weekdays forget it.

I think you are wrong, you can park on Kelton/veteran for 2 hours before 6pm on WEEKDAYS, thats when you can find parking easily. Other time, its fully packed.. weekend doesnt have the 2 hour parking limit...

Close. I believe Sunday is the only day with no parking limit. Also, there are certain streets which only have the street cleaning signs i.e. Gayley, but it's impossible to find spaces there unless you're really lucky, or drive past it 20+ times.

Also, screw the two hour spaces: if you're over by 5 minutes or so, have fun paying your $40 ticket. The parking officers are pretty strict about it. I think they get off putting their tickets on college students who have much better employment opportunities then them. (/bitter)

Between levering and Strathmore, Kelton is unrestricted parking except street cleaning thursday and friday 8-11. Veteran from levering south until weyburn is the same. Saturdays 2 hour parking is still enforced only Sunday it isn't. My apartment was on 672 kelton and every sat and sunday I always saw at least 3 spots open from morning to afternoon. Strathmore between Veteran and Glenrock is also unrestricted parking besides thursday and friday street cleaning.

EDIT:

The streets colored blue should have non 2 hour parking. But they are most likely all jammed pack except for veteran strathmore and kelton.

About the 2 hour spaces, on midvale between levering and strathmore, that part is chalked only once a day. So if you check on your car and you remove the chalk mark, no more ticket for you for the rest of the day. Strangely enough that 2 hour parking is enforced 9 to 4 compared to 8 to 6 on all the other ones.

Is apron parking banned yet?

They jacked tickets up to 40? Last time I got one it was 31.

Lol, nice map

I hate the area of UCLA..
I lived there for a year. I got at least 4 parking tickets, each $40.
And its so hard to find parking. People even dont want to go out because of that. Or not willing to drive and ask their friend to drive.

And where did all those parking ticket fee go? Pay donuts for officer?
They even give ticket for not having front license plate, which I had no problem at all in Irvine a year ago.

UCLA is a sick place.
I hate how they try to turn students attention about they not providing even parking space by giving out free steps counter. And say who walks the most get a prize of something. Thats just ridiculous!!! And not to mention how hard to get a parking permit, how hard to pay for it, and how hard to get it!

Yeah I also got a fix it ticket for not having a front plate.

My worst situation was getting a ticket for riding a bicycle on the sidewalk while listening to my ipod. That cost me 141 dollars. I couldn't have been angrier.

Cops take their anger out of people here, but with the number of morons around, I can kind of understand why cops hate people at UCLA.
