Normally this problem can be solved about the same night or one day after, but for this time is 2 days already. Is Stan busy these days?
Since this problem happens again and agian...almost once a week, I strongly think that Stan should leaves Graham the key and keep in CHQ, or Stan will have to be called and come to solve the problem everytime...
People here know both of them well, can you talk and discuss with them about this issue?
No matter who can solves this continual problem, I appreciate that
I want to play IIDX, and I don't want to talk to Graham, seriously.

Maybe if you go together with him one day he can show you where the plugs are? Even if Graham had the keys he wouldn't care and just slap an out of order sign on it because it's easier that way.

It's not coin error, it's coin jam, which means coinc stuck in the machine.
Just need the key to open the chest in the bottom and take the coins out, and the problem will simply be solved.
I know Graham wouldn't care, and I will NEVER EVER talk to this unresponsive person.
Machines in Taiwan or Japan are always in good condition, problems will be solved RIGHT AWAY once players find and respond to the manager.
SO BAD I'm in Canada, and SO BAD some managers just don't care about their customers in here, um?

And yes it's just a DJ video game, so unimportant.
But Canada just can't take care of it

But sheesh, suck it up, at least we do have IIDX unlike a ton of other places. You make it sound like you're going to die due to two day's lack of exposure to a rhythm game.
I also like how you can extrapolate the "lack of care" for this machine to be blamed upon the entirety of Canada. I'm glad you don't want to talk to Graham, I don't think he'd want to talk to you either.

I apologize for this.
Here is my point of view:
Did Graham buy the machine? NO.
Somebody else originally from ASIA bought the machine and left it with Graham in CHQ.
Grahams doesn't have to care about the machine for sure since he didn't buy it.
However, he did have responsibility to take care of people who go to CHQ and play in there, and did he do it well? NO.
We do have IIDX here, but it's Stan's merit, not Canada's.
As a result, I appreciate the person who bought the machine, but not Canada.
Probably because I'm from Asia, which is the place that people think highly of music games and pay much attention to.
It's nothing about right or wrong, but I just can't get used to the attitude and efficiency here.
Obviously, this problem will happen continually.
I will never post articles here, just wait for someone to fix the problem hereafter. It's easier.

It's just the travelling distance.. and the fact that they need to be at E-spot all the time to run that, that they cannot come to Metrotown often. Perhaps they should move the machine to E-spot...

I guess I'll just have to get used to the situation here, and I shouldn't compare Asia with here.
I don't discriminate against Canada, but I do think some people here need to be more friendly if they want to run the business that is truly successful.
I'm not only talking about the music games issue at this point.
As being an International student for 2 years in here, this is what I concern about.

Like everyone else has already said in the thread, don't let one manager's antics muck up your arcade experience here. Graham may have his reasons for his attitude; regardless of what that may be it doesn't change the situation. It'll generate less rage if you stop the thought process at "fuck, the machine doesn't work" -- as a result, I no longer rage as much at broken machines.
I don't know about you guys, but I consider gaming to be serios business. Especially for those people who spend a long time to commute to the arcade expecting a good few hours of fun, arriving only see that their favourite machines aren't working. We've all had this experience before and can likely confirm that it sucks royally. Just so happens that some arcade-goers have some connections with managing/maintenance staff and are distracted from their rage because they can simply approach these people and inform them of the problem with confidence that they'll do something about it. We don't all have this privilege, nor do we all have the motivation to speak to a wall.
We've already gone over CHQ's management style so there isn't a need to gloss over that shit again; let the horse rest in peace.
If you don't mind playing DistorteD the machine at espot works great, albeit having a weird monitor... and some people don't really like the keys but I actually prefer them to CHQ's DJT. Give me a PM if you're interested in giving espot a try; I drive and wouldn't giving you a ride down there, dmfever.
Good job guys for raging against the usual. And thanks for confirming what you said earlier about the bemanistyle community, Mark. Lawl @ generalizing conclusions
PS -- I'm guessing from your name that you play DM... at least your trip to CHQ isn't 100% wasted, since you can always bang on the drums ;3

Arcades do have phones, ya know. Back when the DM at CHQ was broken every other week, I'd call before I went, to see if it was working that day.

Who knows... I don't think anybody actually pounds on the IIDX machine... one would typically hammer on the keys if they have to. But then again, pounding on the machine should be grounds for pounding on the person pounding the machine... it's only fair, right?
