There's a Beatmania machine alright but it's no IIDX, like I said it's a 5 keys Complete Mix 2 something like that.

Chateauguay is southshore of Montreal (near Lasalle)

I've played the machine 4 days ago but the sound was overwhelmed by the Drummania machine. Not a good experience.

By the way, I know that the "Beatmania Complete Mix 2" was the 5-keys beatmania. But maybe the manager there could think about updating the machine into a IIDX machine (RED, Happy Sky or DistorteD).

From Angrignon station, through Lasalle taking the Mercier Bridge.

138 Road through Kahnawake.Then you're in Chateauguay.You then take Boulevard D'Anjou (4th light when you get in CHTGY) To be sure you're on the right track, there's a McDonalds on your way. Then in front on the Kentucky, there's a Theater with a Videotron, a Bureau en gros and in the middle, the 222.

Woa, that's kind of far from where I live... Maybe I'll forget about going there...
Unless they get a IIDX machine... If you can, try talking with the manager there about it. Maybe he'll agree.. ^-^

I really don't think it's possible to upgrade a 5-keys Beatmania to a IIDX machine.. They are very different from each other in too many ways. Just the hardware, screen, keys, everything... And buying a IIDX machine would be a serious waste of money for them. People in that area like racing games!

IIDX is a huge investment for an arcade and rarely pays off. I doubt the manager would go for it.

I don't think it's really hate...moreso just the huge cost and effort involved in obtaining a new IIDX machine.

The SilverCity Yonge and Eglinton Machine has been fixed for the most part; i was there about a week ago (The holds are a little bitchy though, i can't seem to get them but have seen other people do them just fine). 3 songs, no free double

[edit:] Going to Silvercity Yorkdale today, i'll edit this if there's a machine there.

[edit2:] SilverCity Yorkdale has a DDR Extreme in excellent condition

Anyhow, I remember I went to this arcade in Montreal while on a Mont Tremblant trip. We stopped at Mandarin for lunch and, since I desperately wanted to play drums that day, I went searching for an arcade in the mall after I was done eating. To my surprise, there WAS an arcade in the mall, and so I went in. I totally freaked out in front of the guy at the counter when I saw the beautiful DM machine right across from the door.

They had a DM10 there, as well as a DDR Extreme, I think. The DM machine was only 50 cents for 3 songs. I forgot the name of the arcade (I think it doesn't even have a name) but it's in a mall with a Mandarin restaurant, and across from a TD bank.

I also came across another arcade with a DM machine, as well as a GF machine and a DDR Extreme, at Quebec City during my trip. It's in Upper Quebec, and I think the DM was a 6th mix. I don't know the cost for it because I used the leftover tokens from the arcade in Montreal. (and it worked XD)

The arcade name was something like "le recreation".
