Thanks Mur =]. When you say "not good" at GF, what do you mean? :O you can only play 50's?

What other Guitar Freak boxes are there in the montreal/south shore area? I know 2000 has the GF8thDM7th box, but I haven't seen any anywhere else.

And.. there isn't an IIDX/Pop'N box anywhere in quebec is there?

I only know 3 or 4 of them. There's a GF11DM10 at Carrefour Angrignon in Lasalle. There's a GF9DM8 in Amusement Atlas Les Galleries de Granby and there's a GF8DM8 (weird) at Amusement 222 in Chateauguay.

There's some 5 keys Beatmania in Quebec (like that complete mix something in Chateauguay) but I've been told there's no IIDX nor Pop'n Music arcade in the whole province.

There's the Orbit in Toronto which has some nice Bemani arcade. We need a place like that here

well maybe we can.... there is a new place opening called XXX LOL at name... well the grand opening is on sunday so i was told... so i was gonna go there and tell them about beatmania IIDX, pop n and gf... be nice if i can get support from all you guys, cause just me telling will be useless (they think that 1 person opnly will play and when they look at the price and realise the cost is like buying a car.. they will freak IIDX wise)... the more the merrier... hehe they only have ddr extreme and ddr max2 atm.. but if we can help maybe be the first arcade to get beatmania IIDX at least and pop n..

Where will that place be?

I had so much fun at orbit's unlimited night. I would play any bemani game that no one was on and played the whole night.

Sunday's i'm usually working until 5, but if you're willing to go towards 6-7'ish, i'd be down for sure.

Mur, you're about as good as me as GF then =], we'll jam one day. But the left guitar at 2000+.... it's sketch. Red button jams, green jams, broken wail.

AMC as in near Atwater?

If I'm not wrong, there's already an arcade in there.

Btw I also play 40's in Guitar Freaks. Hardest I can pass would be Magic Music Magic or something in Advanced mode I think its a 51. I do fail any other 47's and higher. The Difficulty isnt very accurate imo.

You're absolutely right about songs being rated innaccurately. That's why Konami decided to rerate a lot of songs in V3. You can see the new rating for Guitar Freaks here:

matduke, 125$ for a mod chip and installation seems really high. A good option would be to buy a magic key chip and install it yourself. ( Yeah I know ReDDeE, we're gonna do that option too one day

As for my GF ''talents'', this week, I was finally able to pass Die Zauber Flote basic which is a 47 and I already passed Reaching For The Stars advance which is a 48. On a PS2 controller though. At the arcade, the hardest I pass was probably Jet Coaster Girl basic which has been rerated 50 in V3 ( was it a 40 before? I don't remember) Would be nice to jam with people on the same level as me instead of having my ass kicked by ReDDeE

i didn't mean to be so good.. then again i play with light on (dunno why when i do mad combos and miss few times but never know jus incase LOL!)

hey my new playstyle is so much fun!!!!! beatfreakmania Guitar Style!! LOL! my friend recorded me playing that way (i didn't know) so i'll post it on youtube later lol and ppl can see the stupidness I do~!

So you're a bit ahead of me. I'm still stuttering a bit on get ready advanced(35?), i've been at a standstill ever since I began to try strumming it up/down alternating instead of just downstrumming, but it's not going very well.
