Well, my tips for Murmur is just play for fun. Don't aim high or over-do yourself. Don't EVER get mad or stressed because you can't clear a song. (that's a factor to derease your skill instead)

Héhé... me I still suck on BeatMania I think my hardest song i cleared Is Color on Normal ... but i don't play much ... i need to practice but for that I Need a PS2!!!
And my skill on Dm, I can clear arena roja advance(I think its 53) with bass but most of the time I have to put auto bass cause at my arcade bass drum doesn't work well. And on guitar freak i never played a lot but i'm sure I can clear all basic song. The Game I play the most now is ITG where I can pass most of the lvl 12 songs, and I can clear all DDR songs except paranoia respect and the 2 extrastages. But I'm not good on doing AA. And I just started to freestyle on DDR

Never tried Pop'n'Music but I really want to, and never tried Keyboard mania too.
Its been like 2 years that I play bemaniGames so I'm not an oldschool player like you guys.

I started playing DDR last summer but I stopped during the winter. I didn't play again I wonder why... I can pass a 7 footer on a good day. I try but I'm simply not good enough

And I really started other Bemani series in February when I played Guitar Freaks at the arcade for the first time.

I can clear 40ish songs on a real GH controller but I played at the arcade maybe 10 times only. Drummania I once cleared Homesick part 2&3 Extreme (70) with auto bass on which isn't much but still.

Beatmania well...

Pop'n Music, I don't have time to play that one and with GF Masterpiece Silver and the ASC coming...

Goddammit, I'm supposed to be too old for this shit

As for me, my first bemani game is DDR. But I'm really not good at it cuz I actually don't play it alot... (But I can still play if you know what I mean ^^)

The second game I play is DrumMania. lol played it twice and each time I sucked really badly (in fact it was the machine that suck... so I couldn't really improve).

Then my third is Beatmania. I found this one quite interesting and got kinda into it.

Then IIDX appeared (on PS2 -,-). Since then I'm stuck at it.. (that is around 2 or 3 years ago) [I'm 17 by the way...]
IIDX is the hardest bemani game to learn right? For me, each game has their own hard part... IIDX might just take a little longer to learn, but not that hard =.=

HAHAHA am I the only real old school DDR-er in here.. man i started DDR in 1999 :S yea i was 14 when i first saw the Dance Dance Revolution (and USA) memories of Ociana on st catherines.. then there was Pino... bein the only Black gu.... wait.. NON Asian Playing DDR and was able to compete (memories of my first compitition too LOL all asians 1 black guy LOL!)

man those were the days when people will crowd around you and the hardest song was drop out!

i played beatmania in around 2000. was around but it wasn't so hot.. not many ppl were into but me i was always on it.. (and cause that bad exp with arcadesis why they dun wan IIDX)

keyboardmania same time too! that was the shit! was popular too but i dun know why they got rid of it... i think this is a racial thing (@ 2000+) KBM 2nd mix WOOT R.I.P baby!

2003 - hahaha DM/GF LMAO was my easiest to get into LOL!! 5 Tries GF was playing basic 40 LOL!!!! then DM LMAO i figured out auto bass and was killin Right on time Advance 2nd try... (then again i did have lil exp on the drums). Then in 2004 i stop DDR and GF and DM for a LONG TIME cause beatmania IIDX stole my heart.. no IIDX = no arcade.. and DDR too with the new changes lost my interest and my old DDR-ers buddies quit playin for the same reasons too.. really hard to explain DDR back in tha Day and DDR (up to extreme).. Supernova has back the characters!! WOOOOT it's like old time again! but still... the feeling is not quite there yet LOL songs are fun and not so tiring jus like back in tha days

Now.. KARAOKE REVOLUTIN BABY!!! LOL!

Edit: Also wanted to add with the DDR characters... DDR w/o the characters is like beatmania IIDX withoout the character background (when getting a A and up) and TRAN! (beatmania US) it's not the same.. doesn't have the same feel to it

I guess so... well there is a few more in QC.. there is my friend marco who introduced me into iidx for ps2

ovni pointed somethin out to me somehow....

I came to realise tho.. that all the DDR freaks are from DDR max series

also came to notice it's all about speed mods and hardest steps... yesturday i went to play with my friend he doesn't do any mods.. and i felt like i wasn't old school anymore

LOL then again i am very used to it.. x2 due to IIDX and reverse but it's not as bad as the play to beat the hardest song...

hmm reddee i'm surprised I don,t know you.. I've been playing DDR since USA/3rd mix days...

I also play IIDX but I don't know, my best accomplishments would be A [7], Colors [7], Nemesis [7] and a bunch of Another I guess I'm proud of. Almost passed V [7] too...

And I know Marco, too, Reddee. Me and him have been playing DDR for about as long, I think I might have been playing for a bit longer... I played ITG for some times but I'm bored of it now. I prefer Supernova but only been to Angrignon to play twice. Almost passed Faxx Extra but didn't try again in weeks lol..

About DM/GF, GF is fun but I don't really like the controller... I have it, I got kinda good then I stopped playing because I hated the pick... and DM, I just don't like it. IIDX and dance games all the way! (Pump included!)... I wanna try Pop'n too...

lol decarlo, i remember when we were playing Beatmania on PSX (5 keys) on our dual shock controllers. And I brought my guitar freak controller over many times!

We should hang out and play some IIDX sometimes dood. I still live in mtl by the way.
