Ok I was there from maybe 2:00 till 7:30 today. Took awhike to find the arcade, sin0ce we wandered downstairs a lot first, then we went upstairs and found it. Wasn't too busy. in fact, hardly anyone played SuperNOVA. Bigger crowds came to that punching bag game.

Anyway, I hate anything other than All Music mode, sinec only certain songs are there, and I hate how Medium has shitty songs. But HDV and CHAOS is worth it. I took hte high score for both I think. After a few tries I beat CHAOS. Stupid right arrow on the right player side messed up the freeze arrow and I failed, so after two tries of that and failing at that arrow, I decided to tap on it, and i still do that now. 3rd try, I failed juat after the other freeze near the end, then 4th try I beat it. I also used Look to the sky (dunno which mix) and got 5 greats so i definitely got the score with that. That's my AA song to get HDV.

I also did FaxX in players best something, which was 3rd stage, and failedjust before the whole jumps thrown in the big stream part.

OMG M300SMMMO is SOOO TIRING but I still amnaged to beat it.

my name in hte high scores is CHUYNH by the way.

Another heads-up for anyone's who interested in playing 5th Mix. The arcade downtown (Funland) is downgrading their DDR Extreme to DDRMAX 2 temporarily until they get Supernova this October (October is the likely date they got from their distributor). They got shafted for their original order for Supernova, so if anything they should get it around the same time as this rumored 'patch' for Supernova. Some of the offbeat syncing is too weird on Supernova...
/goes to Orbit to play Supernova and Tekken 5

How easy/harsh is the lifebar in Orbit's Supernova compared to ITG2 Lifebar 4?

(awaits for Funland's sync-fixed Supernova as I'm a student from Ryerson which is right at Funland's next door !)

You have to be exact, the judging/timing is very strict. You can't just step on it and expect perfects by share coincidence. Not every song is off-sync but quite a few of them are.

Plus, comparing ITG and DDR is a little... Well, even comparing ITG timing to DDR Extreme timing, they're both different. Considering that ITG is much more lineant on their timing. Then again, I don't like ITG, so screw ITG.

Well, Orbit is certainly doing their best to meet the needs of their customers. They recently removed DDR: Supernova over the Campus Cove at York University! Hooray, no more Orbit forever!

seconded. over here at the campus cove at University of Waterloo, DDR altogether has been lost for a while. All we have is DrumMania 7, GF10, PPP2, and Dance Maniax 2.

Maybe it's a good thing that i'm turned off by the lack of ddr...i'll be spending more time studying rather than gaming. =)

YorkU campus cove is _extremely_ lacking these days
better to study or hop on a ViVa bus to Lovegetty

the good news is that guitar freaks was upgraded to 11th Mix...
however, drums is still percussion freaks 9th mix, also meaning unlinked
and 1 guitar is just... dead...
and the 'working' one is in no great condition,
I'm not sure but I've heard reports of some sound issues with one of the speakers in the cabinet as well.

I know it's been pretty late, but Happy Sky and Guitarfreaks V2 has both dropped down to 2 tokens.
