Circuit Circus is on Kingsway, out past Metrotown (going from downtown), about another couple of miles. If you're on transit you can take the 106 bus from Metrotown, it stops right outside. It's 24 hours. The GF / DM machine takes one token per game, one token costs 50 cents.
Parker Place, for anyone who doesn't know, is in Richmond, on #3 Road, the other side from E-Spot and further north - it's near Aberdeen Centre. If you go in from the #3 Road entrance, turn left at the first chance you get and the arcade is along there.

It has two beat-up DM machines (V2 and 9th Mix) which are usually in condition too bad to be worth playing, a PiU machine, and I think a few others (it used, at least, to have a Beatmania machine).

Total Tokens: 5,848.55 Donate Tokens | yeah. I used to play there quite a lot as it had an okay-condition standalone DMV2, and a decent condition linked GFDMV right by the front door.
Then they took the DMV2 away (it got moved to the movie theater in Tinseltown, I think it's still there, but it sucks now, it never gets maintained, all the pads are dying), and upgraded the linked V to V2, which was nice for a while. But it didn't get maintained very much and the bass pedal started to suck. In the end I don't think it got played enough, and drunk idiots kept playing on it and puking on the screen and stuff. So they got rid of it. I don't know where it ended up, I haven't seen that exact machine at any other arcade...anyone know?
As I said, they now have two beat up DM standalone machines, in the middle of the arcade. I don't know where those came from either...the 9th Mix *might* be the one that used to be in the arcade at the PNE, I'm not sure.

Total Tokens: 5,848.55 Donate Tokens | Okay - CHQ now has V4. GF/DM, I assume they're linked but I didn't actually check. The DM machine is a different machine from V3: it's a Percussion Freaks machine. It looks vaguely familiar but I don't remember quite where it's from. Pad condition is currently perfect. The DMV3 machine is still there and still DMV3 but without GF, so maybe the GFV4 is the V3 machine upgraded, I'm not sure.
V4 is on the other side of the arcade from V3, where V2 used to be. It's in a very loud area. DM is turned down very quiet, it's almost impossible to hear anything. Difficulty appears to be standard. Price is $1 for three songs, one long = three regular.
V2 is still there as well, so CHQ now has GFDMV4, DMV3, and GFDMV2. You'd think they could just upgrade them all to V4 and set up battle mode...
Overall, Circuit Circus is still definitely the best place for V4, I think.
Did anyone check E-Spot the last couple of days?

One thing we can count on when we play @ espot is being able to actually hear what you're playing -- worth taking the trip, IMO

E-spot V4 is going in as I speak. They're upgrading the 10th / 11th Mix machine they got from CHQ to V4. I hope they'll overhaul the guitars and pads at the same time...

CHQ still has a DMV3 (not GF) separate from the V4, that's the machine with the dodgy cymbal though. R.P.M. (Richmond Public Market's arcade) may still have V3, I don't know if anyone's gone in to check if they upgraded to V4 yet.

Total Tokens: 5,848.55 Donate Tokens | Okay, so E-Spot upgraded the V3 machine to V4 in the end. Now it has V4 and 10th / 11th Mix. They definitely had the back off the 10th Mix when I was in there on Friday, so I don't know why they switched strategy. I guess they didn't have all the parts to upgrade a 10th / 11th to the new era.
They seem to have overhauled the pads on the was-V3-now-V4 machine, though. the snare registers when you hit the edge again. yay.
so, for kevin - the only place I know for sure has V3 now is chq, it has DMv3. As I said, R.P.M. may still have it, but I haven't checked. Circuit City, Parker Place and E-Spot definitely don't.
