RPM was at V4 before E-spot..

The 10th/11th mix at E-spot will be upgraded to V3 when Stan gets the parts... so we can run V3 and V4 on all nice controllers.. (Stan took the GF controllers from CHQ and slapped them on the 10th/11th at E-spot.) He just doesn't have the hardware right now to do that.

And Kev, Distortded is 1$ now, so that should be better yes.

Sum updates...

espot - wail's broken, as are the knobs (as usual). I dunno... colin and tim really like the controllers (pick in particular), but I simply can't play at espot anymore. I think it's something to do with monitor size... I SWEAR that the monitor for the GF machine @ espot isn't as tall

cc - Tim took out the springs from the frets; makes for sum great playing. Glare's still there, though...

chq - not as hot (cos nobody goes there anymore! haha!) stupid circle buttons... v3 machine up against the wall; makes playing on 1p extremely difficult. guitars are both in great condition, though, w/ everything working

for DM - Circuit Circus cymbal and hi-hat both need a screwdriver and I keep forgetting to take one. E-Spot snare is going again but otherwise fine. CHQ, V4 machine pads are in excellent condition but it's still too damn quiet and the bass is kinda loose. Haven't played either of the V3 machines there lately. I expect the standalone one's cymbal still sucks.

Heads up: the hi-hat and cymbal at Circuit Circus have been fixed (yay) but the bass is breaking (BOO!) It's gone quite loose and is missing hits quite a lot. Maybe ten percent of all bass hits in a song just don't register. Fairly frustrating.

Stan, if you're reading - please get CC to pay you to fix it you can tell 'em I won't be playing there again till it's fixed if it helps...

well, yeah, but I only play DM.

they currently have a GF/DMV4 linked, a GF/DMV3 linked, and a standalone DMV3. I've only played the GF/DMV4 linked machine lately, in DM. It's okay, but the cymbal gets misses occasionally, and the hi-hat pad is completely loose from the base, only held on by the sensor wires. Just needs some screws.

For other games, um, they have a couple of ITG machines, two or three DDRs, a Popn, I dunno what else. There's some really good (to my untrained eyes) guys who play on the ITG machines a lot, so I'd assume they're pretty good mixes and in good condition, or else they'd play somewhere else.

For non-rhythm games...they have the usual driving stuff, I don't really know beyond that.

CHQ's DMV4 is broken as of yesterday.

All the screws came out of the hi-hat pad a couple of weeks ago. Instead of fixing it with a couple of 50-cent screws, they just left it like that. That meant it was way harder to play, and now because the pad wasn't anchored down, one of the solder points on one of the sensor wires broke while I was playing a song, so they'll have to fix it with a much more expensive visit from Stan. Nice job, CHQ. *sigh*

I haven't been for a couple of weeks, been playing at CHQ since CC's machine started to suck. But I msg'ed Tim to see if he's checked it out, and he said he went a couple of days ago and it still sucked.

Which means the only really workable machine is E-Spot, until CHQ get theirs fixed. Well, I don't know the condition of R.P.M. or PP, haven't tried their V4s yet at all.

I'll be at e-spot tonight...

edit: forgot to mention, the one good thing at CHQ, they set the V4 machine up to 4 songs for $1 now.

Anyone know when e-spot's gonna do that?

CHQ's hi-hat is fixed (ish) now. Not really in 100% condition though.

IMO they make more money with the 4 songs/$1 setup than espot's current 3 songs/$1 with long songs = 1. I admit that I also abuse it occasionally (it's hard to resist); the old system of 4/$1 and long songs = 2 worked great, and more importantly, was fair in that it gave players a bang for their buck while keeping traffic flowing.

On the plus side, if someone pisses you off, you can always WISHx3 or Magical Tartx3 their ass until they go away...

yes, three long songs for a buck is a pain in the *ass* when you're lining up.

Every single time I see Ponytail-tard's face I feel like killing baby kittens; his friends' presence furthers the body count. Those guys notorious for laming long songs when there are 2-5credit lineups for the GFDM machines

who the hell did that? and where can I get in on the choking action?

e-spot seems to have replaced the snare pad, though it hasn't done any good at all, as hitting it at the front rim still doesn't register. Problem must be deeper inside the pad.

Also, playing Rock Band makes you fucking terrible at Drummania.
