Besides, I doubt that there are any "legit" machines in Vancouver. It'd be great if espot could bring emuse to Canada, but that's wishful thinking...

E-spot Arcade and Billiards: Beatmania IIDX Distorted, DDR Supernova, Drummania + Guitarfreas V4, Drummania + GuitarFreaks 11th/10th, Taiko No Tatsujin.. 10/11? (newest one)

CHQ Arcade in Metrotown mall: Drummania and Guitarfreaks V4, Drummania and Guitarfreaks V3 x2 (2 full sets), Pop'n Music 14 FEVER, DDR Supernova, DDR Extreme, ITG2, Taiko No Tatsujin.. 10/11? (newest one)
Circuit Circus: Drummania and Guitarfreaks V4, ITG2, DDR Extreme, DDR 5th mix
Those are the only ones that really matter... Chq might looks like it has the most stuff.. but the only machine there that is in "good" condition would be the Pop'n. While E-spot lacks Pop'n, all of their machines are in very good condition, and it's a better atomsphere (very dark, no little kids, lots of space, nice and cool) whereas CHQ is a boiler room in the summer, tons of little kids running around because of the mall, and almost no room to move. I vote for E-spot.

Hey guys, I've been in England for a month, just got back. I just noticed that Tom Lee is running a Rock Band contest: 2008 Vancouver Rock Band Spring Championship - Tom Lee Music
there's some pretty neat prizes, and the current quality doesn't seem to be very high (look at the spread of scores). The qualifying rounds are over already, but there's a 'wild card' round on Sat 10th where the top three scores of the day get into the finals, should be easy enough. anyone want to form a band and try and win some stuff?  I bag the drums. other possible spots are guitar, bass and vocals. it'd be best to have all three, from a score point of view, but we could probably get by with just drums and guitars. I have a copy of Rock Band if anyone wants to get in some practice on the guitar / bass parts.

Mark, where is CHQ getting the cab from? Are they buying a GOLD from the states, shipping it up here, and upgrading? Or is it some wack ass upgrade job.

From what I heard, it is a DJ TROOPERS specific cabinet and is currently on the way from Japan.

828? Stan? I can't imagine either of them buying a brand new cab, especially from Japan. From what I understand Stan usually buys the bootlegged machines from HongKong no? Any updates on when it's coming?
