With or without Landon's upgrade kit, it sounds like Winnipeg will be getting a IIDX machine in the near future, and it will certainly get a lot of plays from all the players there. Vancouver's location is actually what hurts the IIDX RED, really...not many players want to go all the way to Richmond it seems, and I can see why. It's a long way compared to CHQ or CC or wherever.

The initial cost is high, but so was E-Spots...I somehow doubt they've broke even on theirs.

I've had HAPPY SKY for months now, and do we have a machine yet? No... I'm getting tired of waiting.

And the good part about bringing it to Vancouver is that I'll actually be able to play it! I don't really like RED all that much, so I'd rather be going all the way to the arcade to play a style that I actually consider to be good

Last time I was in town (over Christmas), I was there several times at several different points in the day, and I pretty much had the machine to myself. If it's picking up steam, that's good, but there was no evidence of it when I was around.

And I dunno about it not being a scary place. Richmond after dark is kinda iffy.

To me, Richmond is too far... and since I suck at it, why bother?

Besides, I remeber in the old bemanistyle forum, a few non-chinese got spat on by E-spot customers; in fact, there's this Chinese Albino (making him resembles a blonde) who seems to involved in some disagreement with them. Don't know if this is true, but from what he told me, many of E-spot's customers like acting mean to other people just because they are being different, be it their looks or opinions. Since I apparently pissed of some people over there for god knows what, so I am not bothering.

Honestly, we have no idea how well one game will do at what location: for some reason, We got Gundam SEED Destiny, which is the same machine that was in E-spot... I am not certain if E-spot are getting the DX version or another 4-cab for GSD (darth can fill me in here), but from what I heard, they have yet get it.

In my opinion, I think its profit would suck a lot in CHQ (especially compared to in E-spot), but hey, that's their business; they think it's profitable. So god knows? It may work with Happy Sky.

Anyway, CHQ got supernova. Steps are of course not as fun as ITG, but definitely have fun songs. (Konokono is just plain awesome). The footsteps remind me of SM, however...

Weird. I've been in and out of E-Spot many times and have NEVER had anyone even so much as diss me. And I'm clearly of Chinese descent yet can't speak a damned word of it. You can't get much lower on the totem pole than "banana".

I guess it's just someone's bad experience by some very minor group who happen to be there, I guess. Mark is always fine there.

I knew there's something fishy about that... but wouldn't they also keep the board? Unless you mean both cabinet and board. They work "fine" enough for many people.
