You take a risk any time you put a coin in, you can't count on anything. I'd give it a 50/50 chance to be working on any given day. You're best bet is to go in the afternoon around 3~5pm. The tech collects the coins around that time and he usually clears up the coin slot if it's jammed.

Speaking of risks, I was playing GFV6 the other day and on the player 1 side, the buttons were sticky as hell, plus the pick itself too. I forgot to tell Graham to fix it.

was at e-spot today. the v6 machine is getting crappier. random misses on the hi-hat, snare is losing sensitivity.

the v5 machine at e-spot, however, is *perfect*. but it's v5. d'oh. wish they could just switch the software...

I should be an arcade technician, I honestly wouldn't mind going from E-spot to CHQ and fix the GF/DM machines constantly.

or all of the other machines for that matter, my foster uncle did train me when I was 10

. I still remember, but I will have to take a few courses.

Survey says.. About 30 degrees or so. I was dripping with sweat after one game of Pop'n yesterday. However, I think that's because it was 35 degrees outside. It's actually a few degrees cooler inside.. so after this heat wave passes it shouldn't be that bad.

Also, I fixed the beatmania machine and pop'n machine in e-spot! More people come play with me.

I was at e-spot the other day. The V6 drums are a LOT better now, dunno when they got fixed, but they feel pretty damn fixed to me. Snare's still a tiny bit off sensitivity at the bottom of the pad, but nothing you can't work with.

V6 drums are fixed. Pop'n is fixed. IIDX is fixed. But apparently GF is not working now!! I shall have to fix it.

Amazingly, the CHQ V6 drums are also actually good now. The snare is slightly erratic at low pressure, like the E-Spot one only slightly worse, but it's definitely not unplayable, you can even get FCs if you remember to hit it hard enough (fast double beats are tricky though). Two decent DMV6 machines...yayness.

Possibly related, CHQ doesn't seem to have V5 cabinets any more. I don't know if they cannibalised both the V5 and V6 sets to produce one actually-good V6 set or what.

CHQ has gone to 4 songs per credit for V6 now. Drums are still pretty good, snare still gives misses unless you play the top half of the pad with your stick at a raised angle, but it's definitely playable.
