I'm gonna be visiting espot and CHQ and all the other richmond/vancouver ubercades this weekend. What condition is the bemani at espot in? Is there anything useful to know before coming up?

E-spot: I can't speak personally for the SuperNova machine, although it looks like the other guys aren't really having any problems with it. DM and GF are in fine shape, nothing busted at the moment. As for IIDX, i've only tried it a few times, but it seemed pretty good to me.

CHQ has Pop'n Music 14! I just played it today. The cabinet looks really nice, but the volume is way too low. It's impossible to hear anything. I really hope they turn up the volume on that
For the guy asking about espot machines, most of the machines there are in good condition. IIDX HAPPY SKY machine is in great condition ($1/game), GF/DM is also in good condition (I'd think so after seeing someone S Children's Sketchbook on extreme a few weeks back). Not sure about the DDRSN. It should be in good condition as well (and it's a Japanese DDRSN)

Just went to espot, it's pretty amazing. Everything was in great condition except for the IIDX machine's coinslot and the DM snare. The JP SN was really cool, since non of the machines in WA have the patch, except for one at gameworks (2.50USD/4songs though). I really dug the arcade, and will certainly be coming back for more. It's way more like a japanese game center than anything else i've ever seen.
Also, thanks to the two guys who helped me unstick the coin slot on IIDX.
