Also, IIRC the ITG2 pads are still pretty good, probably about the same level of sensitivty if not better than the upgrade I saw him playing on at TGA.

Actually those pads wouldve been so much more sensitive if the previous owner of the machine wasnt a moron.

It took an incredible ammount of wirecutters to get 3 sensors in each panel. Those entire pads really need to be stripped free of all of their wiring and redone, but I need a while to do that, and a stack of cash from Andy and permission to do the work.

We did what we could though.

Alright, Ill tell his dad ASAP.

Thanks, sp0rk and I did a lot of work to make those pads not suck in time for the tourney that didn't occur.

Oh btw, I sent off that email, lets see what happens.

If at all possible, I would request that August 18th not be the day for the Pop'n tournament, because I will be otherwise busy. :x

In that case I request the tournament be the 18th because then I'd have a chance. :3

I'm really sorry I can't just go and do that. =/ I really hope you come on the next day though, cause I'd really like to see my fair share of people around.

Also, quickly I'd like to say that gold will most likely not be there.

Hey guys, for those of you who are entering the ITG2 division, I suggest you read this post!

I will now be running this tournament, which will take place on Saturday, August 18th. So, here are the rules for the tournament that I came up with.

Entry Details
-There is NO LIMIT to the amount of people who attempt to qualify.
-There will be either a 16-man OR a 32-man DOUBLE ELIMINATION BRACKET used depending on the amount of people who register. I think I’ll use the 16-man if there are 24 people or less, and the 32-man (with byes if needed) if there are 25 people or more; although, my final decision will be on the day of the tourny.

Prizes
60/30/10% of the pot for 1st/2nd/3rd place respectively.

Scoring
Fantastics: 3
Excellents: 2
Greats: 1
Holds: 2
Rolls: 2
Mines: -5

Qualifier
-The qualifier will be an UNRELEASED CUSTOM SONG that will not be seen until the day of the tournament. Don’t worry though, it’s CMod-friendly and I will play this before the qualifiers start to give everyone a look at it. But I will only do this ONE TIME, so if you want to get past the qualifying round, I’d watch the demonstration if I were you!
-If anybody is tied, they will play a tiebreaking song after everyone else qualifies.

Matches
-Higher seed selects EITHER choice of side OR who picks the first song.
-Matches will be 2 out of 3 based on the scoring method I listed above (not percentage).
-If you fail a song you pick, you lose the match. There is no penalty for failing a song you did not pick, however, so keep on trying even if you fail!
-The match-deciding 3rd song, if needed, will be either of these two scenarios, in which I will make all competitors vote for this on the day of the tourny; keeping in mind I will be prepared for either one in advance.
1) The 3rd song will be picked by CHANCE (while still within the limits for each round. For example, if Energizer Expert comes up in round 1, it will be played on Hard instead.)
2) The 3rd song will be an UNRELEASED CUSTOM SONG set for each part of the round, and will all range from 9-(10 or 11) block songs.

Song Selection
-You can choose Expert or Hard steps for any song.
-If you pick a song, you MAY NOT pick it again at any point of the tournament, even if it has different steps. (For example, if I picked Psalm Pilot Expert against Jason in Round 1, I couldn’t pick Psalm Pilot again. PERIOD. Even if I wanted to pick it on hard instead of expert a 2nd time.)
-The following round limits will be in effect for the duration of the tournament:
-Round 1: 10 block
-Round 2: 11 block
-Round 3: 12 block
-Round 4 and on: No Limit

Mod Selection
-Speed Mods, C-Mods, Perspective Mods, Note Skins, and Mini as long as they don’t disqualify you from ranking. NOTHING ELSE.

If anybody has ANY questions, suggestions, comments, or objections about ANYTHING I have listed, please feel free to hit me up on AIM or simply post in this thread. Just be constructive with your comments, that's all I ask. =)

I want to be as fair as possible with this tournament, so if you want to say something, the sooner the better! Thanks guys!

-Jimbo
