Hey all. Starting next Thursday, the 24th, I'll be hosting a Rock Band night at the Infusion Cafe in Hellertown, PA. (

Google Maps, it's like five minutes off I-78 and really easy to get to.) Starts at 6 PM and goes until midnight-ish. No end date for this in sight, so it'll probably be going into the foreseeable future as long as people show up.
Cover charge to get in is $5 at the door, no further purchase required but I at least recommend getting something to drink because they have awesome food and really good smoothies. Our setup has every single DLC track to date, prizes will be given nightly and monthly (monthly prizes start in November), and most importantly it's going to be a lot of fun. Infusion's a really nice little place and it can really use the support.
Show up, bring friends, dress up, act like goofballs, have fun!
The game will be set for No Fail, and if you ask me before you go up I've got nothing against Breakneck Speed. We'll be using the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band 2 initially (and probably will continue to do so until Rock Band 3). The screen is a 720p Sharp projector hooked into Infusion's more than impressive sound system, all perfectly calibrated by the Rock Band 2 wireless Stratocaster. (I'm doing extensive testing on this before we start, so I guarantee it will be PERFECT.)
You can register as a band between two to four people or an individual. Under four bands please know beforehand what instruments you will NOT be playing, and individuals I ask to let me know what instruments you're OK with playing. Keeps things smoother that way.
Prizes will be given out on a per-band basis, and will change occasionally. (Final prizes aren't fully ironed out just yet, but I'll make sure that you get some food at the very least.)
As of right now, the in-house instruments available are:
- Standard Rock Band Mic
- Rock Band 2 Wireless Strat
- Guitar Hero 2 Wired Xplorer
- Rock Band 1 Wired Drumkit
There will also be a spare RB1 Strat, but it's missing the whammy. Good for bass, ask for it if you want to use it. Feel free to BYO guitar if you'd like, though I'd ask for you to not bring your own drums. (If anyone wants to provide a RB2 kit or Ion kit for everyone's use before I have them permanently though, I'll gladly get the cover charged waived for you, and in the case of an Ion kit your whole band gets in free. Make sure to contact me beforehand if you want to do this.) You can BYO mic if you want to I suppose, though there really isn't much of a reason to.
The more successful this is, the better it will get. I'd like to be able to get the Stage Kit and Ion drumkit for use for the event eventually, as well as the modified real Stratocaster and real Precision Bass when they're released.
