Default Looking for someone to repair a Dance Maniax machine

Hello.

I just bought a Dance Maniax 2nd machine, which was allegedly working prior to shipping. I put it together and everything seems to be working perfectly except for the monitor. Not sure if it's busted or if I'm just missing something obvious...(The only other arcade I've put together was a Pump DX, which was pretty darn simple).

Does anyone know of a person or company who repairs Bemani machines in the Jersey Shore/Central Jersey area (or further if they don't mind the drive)?

Thanks.

The machine is in my garage at home, in Lakewood.
Assuming that the monitor does need replacing, I'd have to remove the whole top piece, correct?
Darn, that was hard to get on in the first place...

I intended to buy it for home use only, but after awhile I might try to get it into an arcade somewhere. The closest machine to me now is in New Brunswick (Funmania), and the sound doesn't work and it's a first mix. Next one is Menlo Park (the old Freehold Mall machine).

Do you own any other arcade machines? the Bemani 573 is Jamma compliant, so test your computer in another machine if you can.

Other than pinball, this is the only arcade machine I have right now.

The computer boots up fine. I can even play on it. I just can't see what I'm playing.

Ahh, yes, good point. (duh!)

I should mention that there is a monitor input port on the computer, but I think that's for attaching an external monitor, since there does not appear to be any other place for it to connect to inside the machine.

Is there anyone in the area who does repairs on these things? 'cuz I know they break down all the time, and unless the arcade in question is 8otB, they usually don't stay broken for long, and they don't magically fix themselves either, unfortunately.

I don't know of DMX can have an external TV hooked up to it like DDR SN can (through component cables? Whatever the red-yellow-white things are called.) You should check for that and if possible, hook up a TV to it.

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. If you wanna make little inside jokes to each other, do it through PM's and instant messengers. And any more threads like this that pop up, I'm gonna trash too. This is the only warning ANYONE gets. Anymore like this and I'm gonna start handing out infractions. Thanks for your time.

Betson will do it for sure, but will also charge a lot from what I hear.

Also the only things that stay broken at the break are items that make no money so why lose money fixing it or things that that are hard to get replacement parts for.

Yeah, I know that about the Break. I just like poking fun at it. I've only been there a couple of times, but it seems like some of the folks there take their ITG/DDR a liiiiittle too seriously.
I've been out of the arcade scene for a few years (since The Rec, in Toms River, closed), but I don't remember anyone in my day ever throwing a hissyfit over 96%ing LoM, just because their 'average' is 98%.

Anyway, I tried to hook up a computer monitor to it, but it wasn't compatible. I'm going to try it with a tv screen later tonight.

Thanks for the Betson tip. I'll look into that.

Out of curiosity, do you recall what this person looked like?

it would be great if you knew an operator that would let you test the computer in their machine. maybe Chris Cotty could find it within the goodness of his heart to help you out.

I'm just gonna try my luck with Betson. The place I bought the machine from agreed to pay for whatever the repairs cost, so their kinda exorbitant prices isn't an issue.

Hair: No, I don't remember what he looked like.
