most people i know in the MD area either use DDRfreak or nothing, so we're alive but not here. i know Frederick just got a Supernova, as did Silver Spring, Cyberden was thinking about getting one when they move across the street which is supposed to be this month and there are talks of a place opening in Towson this summer. the Bemani community in MD may see some sort of a revival. i actually just read in a news article today that arcades are making a slight comeback with possibilities for growth which is exciting news to me. maybe we can actually get some activity in here again.

I think we need a music game meetup session, but unlikely that'll happen considering our area of the Mid-A is pretty much DDR, ITG, or nothing now.

Yeah...Baltimore is a little lacking in the 'nice' department...I'm from Landover and I just want to get out of PG county...

Yup we're dead alright. The most active place in all of Maryland for Bemani is in Cockeysville, hands fucking down!

I really wish I had a video of last night when me, Nick, Ben, PJ, and Tim were all taking turns playing IIDX in three different setups. Everyone was like beasting out on songs. Fucking Tim AAA'd G2, Real, Step into the New World, Spica, and Dual Control, this is all just 7K stuff too.....

For the [a]'s he got stuff like Flute Man, both Era's, HBG, and Ave de Rapina. Seriously wtf.....but still we were all getting some huge EX increases.

i can tell you from experience this stuff is never planned. some people show up, sometimes call someone else on a whim and we show up. if we planned these things, i guarantee there would be more people then just Tim PJ Sean Nick and Ben.

Yeah this is rarely planned. Shit, the gathering I was referring to was originally supposed to be for the Superbowl. But once that ended and we hit up 7 Eleven, it was all over after that lol. Somehow everyone fired up IIDX and we went to work! The only person I called once to come was Adam because me and him were supposed to have sushi and I wanted to know when he got off work that night.

I highly doubt anything will occur this weekend that'll include me because I'll be out of town into VA. Which will turn into a trip to random arcades with Doug to play him some form of DDR and my search for better Tekken DR players.

Also in a book I was reading, I definitely saw them attempt to legitimately use the word "cocksureness".

Where are you talking about?

Please say there's a IIDX AC somewhere within 1238123981723981273 miles of Maryland.

Nah I'm referring to my apartment. Which has like 3 IIDX setups in it. We were all just kicking ass at the game that night. We do that every so often where some of us just gathering and start playing our asses off.

Is the DDR Extreme at City Place in Silver Spring still around? Is it working? I feel like playing some AC so I might go down there with a couple friends on Sunday.
