I made the trek down to Ashland pumped to play to find that the machine is now broken

Does anyone know how "concerned" they are with the machine to see that it gets fixed?

The machine at Cici's? Bunch of us were there last night, and it was working good from like 6 - close (cmcm had to come fix something, so maybe you came earlier while it was off.)

Empress is really cool, I just wish there was one closer to NJ. =(

Damn that sucks! Yeah I got there around 3 or so and it was off. Something told me to either call later to see if was up or find something constructive to do in Richmond for a few hours in case anyone stopped by. Maybe I'll head down there now and get some play time in

I did some rewiring inside the cabinet and it -shouldn't- have the same problem it kept having every few days. If it does just tell the manager on duty and they can text or call me and I can come check it out as long as I'm not at work.

Is the IIDX machine still there? I'm probably gonna be there tomorrow evening.

I didn't see you I guess but I was there from... 6 to 9 maybe? Had the machine to myself the whole time, stuffed myself full of mediocre pizza, it was a good time.

Is the difficulty setting on it like, really low though? Just curious.

I couldn't make it up there. Ah well. The difficulty is set to normal, whatever the default is.

Heh, interesting. I passed 10dan, which in itself wasn't too amazing, except I started AA with 12%, didn't fail in the opening rush, and finished at 100. I guess I'm better than I used to be.

Hey guys, I'm Virginia native but just got to play DJMAX Technika in California, and loved it so much that I really want to get some machines out here.

Do you guys have any advice for arcades to check out that you think might be willing to get a machine? It's a cheap machine and I have a few materials to help promote it thanks to the guys at PM Studios and other people at AX, but it's still a new and relatively unknown game compared to others so if there's trouble getting arcades here to even pick up DDR or other well-known music games I guess I have my work cut out for me here.

Looks like the motherboard went bad in the Empress PCB @ Cici's Pizza in Ashland, VA. While I order a replacement, I put in DistorteD for $.25 a play. It's a little louder, a little fuzzier, and just slightly laggier (cause of s-video). I hope to have Empress up and running in less than a week. Go play some cheap Samba de Janiero [a]!
