So I had an opportunity to get up to PBP and play some V3. Also I was extremely upset at the V machine. I really, REALLY hope someone does something about the bass pedal as well.

V3 as a whole was good. I enjoyed the sheer amount of songs on the machine. Mind you anything V and above I have never played nor heard of. Got Extra Stage first try and Encore the second time around. Timing felt different but I've been strickly Rockband for a while so it took some adjusting. Thank god we finally got some new bemani in the area. Now let's hold out for GF/dm dx? lol

Did Pete's get V3 back up and running, or is it still V?

I'm planning on being up at Pinball Pete's later today. It won't be until some time between 6-7 because I have to work and it's not exactly the shortest drive for me. For me, I'll be surprised if the Drummania is even operating as it is always off every time I decide to go. Oh, well, I'm more into the pinball and classic uprights any way.

I was able to check out Youmacon in Dearborn a few weeks ago and they had a free play V5 session. Since everyone was so caught up in Rock Band and DJ Hero, the V5 was shoved into a corner beyond most people's notice and there was pretty much never a line to play. I have to see where all those cabs came from.

It was too bad GF's speakers were all sorts of screwed up though, I had to guess what I was playing.

At least the DM machine was working fine and with no line, it was kinda nice =P

Granted, people kept playing Shangri-La and talking about how GFdm was nothing more than a GH/RB rip off, oh well.

Some how I wouldn't have it any other way.

I need to find time to go back out there....I'd like to sit in on the DDR Club sometime..o: Do you just kinda go and hangout? ._.

Also, Youmacon's music game lineup was WOW this year. I really didn't mind the RB/DJ Hero love. Made the lines for the games I wanted to play shorter. :]

Oh no, don't get me wrong, the DJ Hero/RB love was fine, I got to practice songs until I passed 'em (like Ichimoudajin EXT, eee great song). I just wish I got to meet more GFdm players since there were no lines at all for V5 (on free play too, c'mon).

Pump Pro was kind of the same thing, except I'm not a huge fan of the K-Pop selection in Pro. The DDR Supernova line was always ridiculous so I didn't bother.

And, of course, while I was out at Pete's, the DrumMania was in "down" status because the V3 kit is being repaired. At least the GFV3 was up and running. It was odd seeing the ITG down as well.
