What I'd like now is to gauge interest for an FFC meetup. Who would be interested in attending, and when do you think would be best to hold this (Summer/Fall/Winter)? What tournaments would you like to compete in?

My thoughts as far as tournaments go:
DDR
Pump
IIDX
Pop'n Music
GF?
DM?
ITG2?
IIDX CS (possibly DD CS)
Super Smash Bros Melee
Guitar Hero?
Whatever fighting games there are interest in (home version or arcade)
Super Puzzle Fighter 2?
Katamari Damacy/We Love Katamari?
Anything else you guys can think of

If I can get an estimate for the best dates and interests I can talk to the owners and get some rules and a schedule for this together.

hey does anyonw know if we could rent FFC out for a day, and try to get some of the games upgraded for when we go there (I still may not go, but you can have fun without me I am sure)?

We definitly would go there over summer, it would be nice to go a little after SuperNOVA 2 testing, because I get pumped by that stuff. So lets say Middle/end of June, or Early July, would be a good time to go.

Looks like FFA for sure too, no one want to go to Six Flags, I wanted to go to six flags... oh well.

The only issue I see with that is that Bowlmanifest is June 27 - July 1 2007, so I could see that interfering for some people. Mid-June is a possibility, but if so things need to get organized quickly. I'm not going to turn it down outright though if it works for other people.

My thought would be that sometime in late July or August might be best if people want to do it this summer, but like I said, give me your input.

Also, I would assume FFC could be rented out for a flat rate (depending on the day of the week), but it would be pretty expensive at a guess. I can ask and see what type of estimate I'd get though. As far as upgrades, what sort of upgrades are you looking for? We may be upgrading to DistorteD within the next month. No word on NX - that would be Spork's decision since it's his machine. SuperNova is really up in the air unfortunately... I have no idea what their feelings on urgency of ordering that are. I don't see a GF/DM upgrade happening too soon in the near future because of the rarity of finding a hardware upgrade and when they do pop up they are very expensive.

FFC does after-hours parties, if that's what you're asking. You rent out the building for a set fee for so many hours after we close. If you want numbers on that, I can get them, as I don't remember exactly what the price was.

Ya, lets do it in late July/Early Augest, well after bowlamni fest. and it will give FFC to get upgrades to if they could do that. Not only that, they can get a heads up for when we will go there as well.

Also what should we call this meet up, I mean theres Bowlmanifest, and stuff like that, so whats ours going toing to be called?

ok I just got back from six flags yesterday!

Here is the list of bemanis games they have...

In The Groove 2 (This is a BRAND NEW machine, not an upgraded version. It was only played 4 times by me, the memory card slots work too.)
DDR EXTREME (memory card slots)
DDR EXTREME
DDR EXTREME
DDR EXTREME

and some other drum game, that was not like drummania at all.

the other machines were not out yet, but after a month they will be. There are also 8 differnt nintendo Wiis to play there, and like 9 roller coasters.

however I have a feeling what I just siad wont change your mind.

and THAT is the big downside. I can bring 2 friends for free on some days, but its really crowded on the 3 days I can.

I rather be at Nickel City if there was going to be a meet up in Illinois, but this is a Midwestern meet up. I rather hang out at FFC, even if I have to drive 8 hours just to get to Nebraska. Nevertheless, I'm really looking forward to this bemanistyle meet up.

Hey Brazoliange, if FFC has two Initial D machines, can we have a Initial D tournament?

You don't want to play on the Initial D machines, trust me. The last time I played on them both sides had fucked-up steering and one side didn't even have a card reader. It was just plain not there, like someone had ripped it out.

If you want to do a racing tournament they do have 4 Mario Kart machines....
