The only other game I'm (not so)good at(apparently) is Pump, but most of you don't play that. Damn, I should hurry up and practice some ITG!

I know you've been around for a really long time, and I understand your frustration. I know you have a history of supporting the Bemani community, and trust me, we do appreciate that.
But I said something many years ago to you, that I'll say again. You should move.
This time, it's not so much of a joke. I know there's a community in STL, but there's very few people that wish to expand outside that area. The community there seems to go in and out quickly, with no one to really stand consistant and stay around and remain active.
Additionally, you need to make your presence more known, and become more active. If you can't do it yourself, get someone to help. Hell, I thought Faded Memories disappeared because I haven't heard from you in years, much less anyone from STL talk about the place. We want to make your investment worth it, that's why we're making suggestions.
If you're getting Fever! soon, announce it in the Pop 'n forums. If you get IIDX soon, announce it. TGA didn't get anywhere by sitting there and talking to local forums, Andy had people go out to forums and websites, and MADE TGA's presence known. FFC already has a history, and their community went out and sought people, told communities they had xx games there.
However, it doesn't help your cause by comparing yourself to other arcades. No one's "better" than others, I think some places are better because their community is more solid and open.
If you can't move, that's fine, you can always work to get your name out there and attracting people in.
Millis: I play Pump and some casual Tekken. I'm stuck with primarily Asuka, and sometimes Hwoarang =)

Again, we understand your frustration, but theres I think 2 people on here that work there, and they can plan the event for a nice day/weekend at FFC. Not only that, they have ALOT of bemani games. Plus they are upgrading their machines, and that just makes it OVER exciting. I can't wait to play that DistorteD machine, and all the other bemani games I am not worthy of playing.
FFC is just... god of bemani in the midwest. Sorry.

MO is closer to me, being in Wisconsin (which has NOTHING good anymore), so I'd be more for going to Memories for a meet-up. Sounds like this meet-up is going to FFC, which is cool. I wish I could make it, but due to two weddings, three conventions, and bills this summer; I'm not going to be able to make it. Try to get another meet-up going once you get the Fever! machine in, I'd LOVE to play on that since I've never had the chance to do so. Although that should hopefully chance at ACen this year.

I'm sure they'll have no problem letting us host it there; in fact, they might even let us set the Bemani section aside for just us if we can make a legitimate gathering out of this. If you need any info about FFC's policies or hours, don't hesitate to ask. :P
Also if we're arranging for a meet, we could probably get special attention turned to the Bemani so that they're all in working order come time for the event so long as we get the details early enough.

It's kind of a 'quiet' and somewhat isolated spot. Of course, I don't know if you have an elevator there....

alright, I figure that we should have some competitions while we are there. Definitly DDR and ITG (2 differn't contestes, but ITG will have HARD players and EXPERT players). I figure it should be $10 an entry for a competition, and the funds will go towards the cash prize.
We could also have a beatmania one, or Para Para Paradise one. and such.. but there lies a problem... Para Para Paradise is 2 machines, and its hard to keep track of score. Not only that Para Para is an older game, so I am not sure if poeple would join a contest.
also beatmania contests are an issues. I am a left turntable player, like most. So no one would take the right side, except for right side players. Do you get what I mean?
if you want another contest, maybe we could set one up (PIU would be no problem either). I just have to see if FFA could turn the machines on free mode, so its not so hard.
also maybe this should be 2 days long. Like a whole weekend for bemani fans only.
also I am not posting anything under the news on this site until I get a name to call this. I will edit the first post in a little while with some edits as well.

I just noticed there is no SuperNOVA. Does anyone know if FFC will be getting one? Or does anyone know that wroks there.
Also I forgot to ask if any of the bemani games will be upgraded.
Like...
beatmania
Pop'n music
Dance Dance Revolution
Pump It Up
Guitar Freaks
Drummania
I just wanted to know so I could add it to the first post that a machine will be added or upgraded.

FFA is for farming kids or something.
Jinx> Far as I can tell the Bemani at FFC is allready 'set aside', or at least grouped all together
Are you talking about roping it off or something to be accessed only by bemanistyle folk?
I might make the trek up for this, especially if there is a Pop'n tourney....because that's the only one I'd have a chance with...I've played ITG and DDR maybe a total of 20 times if that...decent at IIDX but not willing to bank $10 on my skills

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Yeah, I mean that we could probably have the Bemani section's access set aside strictly for us, but we would probably have to give a portion of the competition funds to FFC for the use. I bet it wouldn't be much, more of a percentage thing rather than a set amount. I'll take it up with the bosses once we get this thing completely worked out.
Got word from our tech that DM10 should be back on the floor in a few days. That makes me incredibly happy, as it's the only game I would bother wagering cash on my skills with. So far as I've seen, I doubt anyone is going to be Mod at Pop'n or IIDX and Brazo is going to bring his A (or in this case, AA game) to DDR and ITG, so I really don't stand a chance in anything but GF and DM... which is cool by me, as DM is my best anyway.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the FFC group of Bemani regulars might break down like this:
Modarius: Pop'n and IIDX Specialist
Brazoliange: Dance Game Score Specialist
Tony: Para/Freestyle Specialist
Jinx: Session Game Specialist
This isn't to say that we aren't only skilled in those areas, but I think that's probably where our strengths lie. In any case, I'd say most of our bases are covered. :P
Oh, and if we do decide to pay for the use of the Bemani through the competition funds, we might be able to get the games on Event Mode.
