I personally think it's a bit trivial to have staff shirts as we won't have a dedicated staff, technically; most everyone helping run this thing is going to be participating in the contests at some point. It's also a lot of money to blow on a shirt that will only see practical use for maybe two days. I think that the four shirts as it stands is more than generous for a first time event anyway.
I'm not quite sure what you meant when you mentioned the FFC staff but they will probably have little interaction with the event itself, as we are doing the planning and execution of this thing.
As far as prizes, Brazo and I are looking into both items of Bemani nature and ones of competition awards (medals, trophies, etc...). We're hoping to have a monetary sum AND other goodies for both contest champions and the runners-up.
Something that should be considered is that, while a $6-7 cost for entry into a DDR tournament might be acceptable, one for almost any other Bemani tournament here is not (with the possible exception of IIDX). There simply isn't enough demand on the other games to warrant such a high cost for entry. I would suggest this (note that this is under the assumption that there are enough participants in each division to hold a tourney):
DDR Tourney (Single Elimination, Perfect Attack): $6-7
IIDX Tourney (Single Elimination, Score Attack): $4-5
Pop'n Tourney (Round Robin, Score+Combo) $4
GF Tourney (Round Robin, Perfect Attack) $4
DM Tourney (Single Elimination, Perfect Attack) $5
PiU Tourney (Single Elimination, -MISS Attack?) $5
The Round Robin tournaments are for the games that I don't forsee getting a large enough turnout to hold a respectable elimination bracket. I also think that if a player registers for one tournament, they should recieve a dollar discount off of any other tournaments they enter. Simple way of getting a semi-bargain.
Oh, in case anyone misunderstood me earlier, no one should be buying the shirts yet until they're finished. Those are 99% done but still lack a set date and perhaps a last minute detail if I find any problems. I'll be sure to let everyone know when they're completely ready.
EDIT: The things on the back of the shirt are, in order, DDR arrows, IIDX turntable, GF/dm mascot heads, and the Pop'n 9-Button setup. I figured the only people who would understand it would be the ones who would want the shirts in the first place.
