Yay now there's no reason to go to BZN at all.

If that was not enough of a reason I was told e-amuse is staying offline until DDR X is released. I think Konami took down the service for DDR X, but I am not sure. Thats what the head of arcade operations told me there.

They probably didn't know how to hook it up (and that's what the techs even said).

I doubt they cared either.

Oh they definitely did not care. In fact if you have not ever noticed you will find all employees that work there never give a shit.

Well we'll have to see what happens when X comes out for the e-amuse there, but the machine is in such bad shape I would honestly stay away. I am also sure many large arcades (Gameworks and Dave and Buster's) will get the new dedicab anyways with e-amuse, Or other Brunzwick Zones.

yeah, BZN has really gone to shit. I still go there every once and a while just for the hacked ITG machine, but that DDR machine is in such bad shape that I don't even bother with it anymore. I asked one time if the eamuse readers were ever going to be hooked back up and the girl said "I donno they don't tell me anything."

I asked if they were ever going to fix the neo-geo and the guy said "probably not because no one plays it." I said that the reason nobody plays it is probably because its been broken for over a year and no one wants to play on a broken machine, and he replied "no, people just dont play it so were not going to fix it." wow, thanks for nothing asshole.

what are some other good arcades in the general area? for some reason I'm not holding my breath on BZN getting a new cabinet when X comes out (and even if they do it wont be playable for long since apparantly they dont fix things anymore). That, and maybe I'm just going at the wrong times (or people just got sick of that place before me) but I hardly ever see anyone there anymore.

The machine wasn't that bad, it's the environment.

I love when people tell me that I hate ITG2 when I actually don't have a problem with the game. In fact, there's a chunk of songs I enjoy on the machine. It's the people that ruin, not just for me either. BZN is just a pit of those kinds of players.

Worst part is, that machine isn't even if the greatest shape either.

And I doubt GW will get a new dedicab. They waste their money on stupid crap, like their advertisements for Hummer all over the place (really? Waste how much money on that game?). D&B in Chicago will NEVER see DDR. Super highly unlikely anyhow.

It's a shame too, I actually like the judgement window (holy crap, it's actually possible to get AA's now?), stepcharts actually had some thought put into them (sans the X-edits, which are hit or miss), and Saber Wing is such an awesome song.

Now, if BZN got an Empress and V6 with e-Amuse, that might be forgiveable.

TBH I thought the same thing about GW here in Columbus OH but They surprised us all with DM V4 Taiko 10th and Supernova dedicab.

When I was in Dallas-Fort Worth Their GW had a Supernova 2 dedicab (or upgraded from a supernova dedicab) and DDR extreme so don't lose hope!!

I really wish IL would get some good locations because going to ESPN zone to get a hit of pump sux in downtown chicago :\

Nono, it's not a problem with Gameworks, it's Gameworks Chicago. Upper management are a bunch of idiots who write-up any employee that makes game suggestions (no joke).

and then in one weeks time both machine will be in terrible order and no one would care.

I also pointed out Gameworks and Dave and Busters as examples for large arcade places. I know Dave and Busters is probably not going to get one, but at Gameworks there is at least a small chance. Hey, I was surprised to see that place get a new SuperNOVA Dedicab, and now Maximum Tune 3 (a little old, but hell I'll take it).

The Supernova machine is the same old dedicab, they didn't get a new one. They just got their HDD fixed (which will probably fail again).

yes, I know that I am saying way back when SuperNOVA came out they bought a new machine.

Oh and SuperNOVA 2 is broken at Naperville now. The board is not working as of now. I did not bother asking if they sent it back for repair, but if anyone is dying to know I can ask.

Sorry for the necro, but it's still the most recent thread on this topic, and it kinda relates to the convo.

For the last year the DDR machine has been gone. I went back there recently and they had PIU Pro and ITG still, but suddenly I can't use USB in there! The place has really gone to shit. I dunno if they fired anyone who gave a damn, but the arcade seems to be eating itself alive. There was no one at the redemption counter till I called someone, and I saw one person there over the age of twelve. I don't think I saw anyone playing more than one session of a non-redemption game.

What the hell? We don't get any new dancing games in the Naperville area? Does anyone know why this happened? This used to be THE place to play DDR, now it's the shittiest arcade in the world! Carol Stream has more and better games than this place!
Can someone point me to an arcade, any arcade, where I can get my DDR fix?
I know about Gameworks, but it is to far away for a daily DDR stroll.

I blame the regulars and the workers that let the regulars run the place to hell.
