Default Cheese thread (Wisconsin)

For cheeseheads.

I may be new here but that's all the more reason to start a thread.

So... I'm in Madison. I don't expect to find anything but DDR, so where's the best place to do that?

Best place in Madison to DDR? Umm, seeing as how I'm from Brookfield, I have no idea. Last time I was up there I assumed it was the union, but that screen was all messed up. I have no idea if they got that fixed or not, but the green hue was gone, so the screen basically looked red. DDR Red! HAHA....ok...ne way. I think there's a machine in on of the malls, west towne or something? Again, I have no idea. Their are Madison people on here (or at least should be....EDDIE), so they would know.

Milwaukee has a couple machines, and a Percusion Freaks 3rd (i'm so sick of that thing, they need an upgrade), ITG2, and....oh...a beatmania final in west bend. That's about it. We need a Popn' machine in Milwaukee soon! Someone buy one! I want to...but...i'm only sorta broke. At least, not enough to buy a Popn' machine.

Nope, the machine's at East Towne. That sucks 'cause I'm literally three minutes from West Towne :-(

I did get to see the one in the union, but I didn't play because I was on a bus tour through work at the time and I didn't want to go back to work all sweaty >_>

I live in Richland Center, about 1 hr. and 15 min. away from Madison.

The main places I play are in the Wisconsin Dells:
The Kalihari Resort for DDR and ITG
The Tons-O-Fun for PIU

I hardly play at Madison because I'm not there as often as the Dells. My family owns a cabin for us to stay at during summer weekends near there.

Is anyone in Wisconsin play at Action Territory? I mostly go there for ITG2 because People's Choice is further away from my house.

Actually, when I went to a Renaissance Faire last year I played both DDR and ITG at Action Territory.
But Kenosha is too far for me, so that's the only time I played there.

There's a DDRMAX 2 machine at Jurassic Valley in Oshkosh. We're holding a tourney there August 12th. There's more details in the Midwest forum about it if you look for the Handsome Jett 3 post.

no popn' machines in the northwoods

Or wausau, or Marshfield, or, the entire state I think....

Theres a list of DDR machines under the "Interactive" tab, but I'm too old for jumping around on footpads! Madison has quite a few
Memorial Union Gameroom Madison DDRMAX2 Dance Dance Revolution 7th MIX
Schwoegler Park Towne Lanes Madison Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME
Union South Game Room Madison Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME
NorZONE Madison Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME
Cyberstation Madison Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME
Ten Pin Alley

First post here at 7.0, Im in the general Madison area as well, literally minutes away from East Towne. I dont play there much anymore, but my other choices for Bemani are Ten Pin in Verona, or Alladins Castle in Greefield or 6th Avenue Cards and comics in West Bend if I want to make the longer drive.

Im a mostly retired DDR player, but will play again for kicks if there are events. I also play IIDX as well. So there you have it

Action Territory is the closest place for me to play. However, because it's so damn expensive to play (I play doubles, so it's $2/game) not to mention pads that don't respond as well as I'd hoped, I play at Paul's Arcade in the Regency Mall in Racine. However, before I moved here to Kenosha, I always used to play in the Cyberstation arcade in East Towne.

Recently, however, I discovered that 1 credit can play both pads on the SuperNOVA machine at Rinkside in Gurnee Mills, so... been playing there from time to time.

Oh, I thought you were mentioning the ITG2 machine in Action Territory at first. I haven't been there for ages.
