Is there any import game stores in Chicago? I know that the video store in Mitsuwa has some games, but I want to buy a JPS2 and don't really want to pay for shipping, so does any one know any store that sells them in Chicago?

I went to the Kerasotes theater on Western and Diversey and they had Percussion Freaks 3rd Mix, but they didn't have a stool or anything to sit on and I saw one of the managers standing and talking to another manager and when I asked him if they had any chair or something that I could use to play, but he was an asshole and he was like "naw man it's only a game you don need no chair" and then i told him that it was kind of hard to play when there was nothing to sit on and he was like "get one of yo friends to like bend over and sit on they back" yeah, so i'm probably not going back to that theater anytime soon

I do from time to time, but I suck because I just started playing in August of this year and I barely ever have a chance to play. Mostly I'll just play a quick game or two of Supernova after I see a movie at Kerasotes in Village Crossing (it used to be Crown Theater) and sometimes I go out to Nickel City and play some Extreme because it's so cheap there.

Up here, we have a hacked ITG2 machine in Lakehurst. It has over 700 songs packed into the machine, so I have a reason to play DDR once in awhile at Rink Side or Round Lake's Regal Theater. I was surprise most of the 10 footers are easy to play. o_O

Awesome! After playing ITG, DDR seems pretty easy I guess. I usually go to Nickel City a couple times a year, but BZ: Oak Lawn is closer.

ryuk, I don't think there are any more import game stores in Chicago. There used to be one in a southwest suburb but it went out of business. Pretty much here I just import iidx online and play at home, otherwise we all play guilty gear.

Which reminds me, if anyone plays guilty here in Chicago and doesn't know where to find competition, let me know, and I'll show you to the scene.

Thanks, I guess I'll just buy the PS2 on Play-Asia. On a different note, why is the Chicagoland thread so dead? lol

Because Chicagoland is pretty much dead. On the up side, the prices for both versions of DDR at GameWorks have dropped, and the left side of the extreme machine is pretty much fantastic.

Well, hopefully Brunswick Naperville will get all the Bemani games that were tested there and Chicagoland won't be as dead anymore.

Chicago gaming isn't necessarily dead. The fighting game scene is still kicking. There really is no good reason that I can think of that anyone should still be playing a dancing game though unless you're 15 and goth, and over the years I tried to get a lot of people into IIDX but it will never really catch on.

I think theyre (this is before vip bonus) 20 credits for SN and 15 for EX. SN is 3 songs, EX is 5, and the EX machine works very nicely on the left side.
