Yeah, that would have probably been a good idea.  I did have to go on a sudden trip to California for family obligations (from Thursday - Saturday last week), though, so it probably wouldn't have mattered.
However, I do live in Buffalo Grove when I'm not at college, and I'll be coming back for Winter Break (December 13 - January 21). I will be taking a trip with my parents in late December, but if you (or any other Chicagoans on BemaniStyle) want to have a large meetup at a local arcade, that would be very cool! | |

The only places I know people still go from BMS is...well...actually not many. I actually don't know a lot of Chicagoans on BMS (most around Chicago are either mall kiddies or kids that play ITG and stick around like ITGFreak or DDRFreak).
The people I know that play other Bemani don't post often or we just meet at someone's place...at most Gameworks (mmm...cheap SuperNOVA).

does anyone know of any IIDX machines -anywhere- in the area?
it'd be nice to have somewhere to play next time i get come back from school.

When I worked there a while back (the one in Romeoville that is), a co worker told me they were 'definitely' getting a Beatmania machine, hinting that it could be a IIDX RED (this was a while back though), of course it's been several months and still no beatmania, as far as I know. Then again he was probably full of shit about it. *shrugs*
