I'm pretty sure the DDR SN we're getting will fall apart a week after it gets to Craig's Cruisers... I think Doug quit and he's the only one who cares about machine repair/cleaning...

Just today the Pump it Up PREX3 machine was missing a few bolts from the doubles bracket (causeing the pads to slide slightly apart during doubles) and a few of the sensors were not responding.

I play with Adam several times a week. I play with TJ when he is in school at CMU. During the summer, he plays at Westland because that's where he lives is Westland so yeah. We have some videos up on Bacon's site. Under Events then Exploits.

Damn Hellacious.. People who know how to exploit those machines deserve credit. Adamstyles is like my idol, but he's impossible to talk to. And i never knew you guys had an exploited machine.. I've seen all of Adams vids and he doesnt have any exploited ones on bacons site. I wish i could play at Bavarian Lodge(hopefulyl spelt right).

edit: I saw your vids in the Exploit section. God damn you lucky bastard.

i played on the supernova machine today, got lots of media to put up. Cedar point has three machines, 2 of which are together while one is hiding off to the side. Found out also that they are the final builds and not the betas or anything pre final build. Im actually at a hotel in cleveland tonight but when im back home i will upload some pics and media for you all to see...i got the entire song list w/foot ratings for every song that i will also be putting up tomorrow night. Look for my review of the pad later.

okay, we just got home from the 3 day hitaus of randomness with KC1313, Nestlekiwk and Kornkid, and I. The pads at CP are a bit slippery. Well, a lot actualy. I almost fell off. The game itself though, SN, was to me, a huge let down. If feels all too much like the CS Extreme (US), and a lot of what I played was just insanely off. My scores also took a huge decline. I went from 8Greats on Loveshine (H) to 110 and a good. Not sure why. I was also disapointed in its just overall gameplay; having to select all music to play all the songs; battle mode was more like 'Random mod' mode, and some of the new marathon courses were a let down. Anyone up for 4 plays of Dynamite Rave? I'm not.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but please, if your going to flame me, at least send me a PM.

Overall, SN gets a 5/10 from me. While its a start in the right direction, not enough time was put into correcting this mix, seems like Konami/Betson was more worried about beating ITG3 to the market.

Why would they care about ITG3? Konami knows they don't need to hurry to "beat out" another game. DDR's label alone sells.

I think it's got a good new songlist, with a good mix of easy, challenging, and fun Heavy songs.

The timing windows is just something we have to get used to. I'm sure it's a little smaller than Extreme.

The only thing tha tpisses me off is the stupid syncing. After 8 versions of arcade DDR, you would think they would get it right. But it could also be on account of the new hardware. *shrug*

I heard Brunswick Zone Naperville replaced/upgraded their EX machine.

That blows.

I'll try and make it out there for 'confirmed' news this week.

So how are the pads? Less recessed like PIU SX/GX and ITG2 cabinets? Or does it have the slightly bigger recession like old DDR and PIU machines have? Also did they use giant ass screws on the play area again? How's the sound system? Just curious...

the pad is just like a ddr pad, just slippery...the sound system is ok...ive heard better and would rather wait and see how the deluxe cabinet is when it is released...the final build cabinets right now are kinda done a little fast...i want better spearkers though... as for screws i notice no difference between them and an extreme machine or a 3rd mix machine.

you're wrong

that machine is not a final build

that machine is the exact same as the beta machines, with a build date of 03-03-06

THERE ARE NO FINAL BUILDS ANYWHERE CURRENTLY, NOT EVEN AT TGA

ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE IS LYING, MISINFORMED, OR AN IDIOT

About the pads being slippery and the syncing being off...did you take into account that those pads at CP are brand new and not some 5 year old recycled junk? When I went up there I liked it a lot. Granted supernova isn't anything new besides some new songs and whatnot. The cabinet looks relatively the same, and the sound system is the same too. But it's nice to have new machines to play on.
